In his defense, I think BA is more worried about defending rather then attacking. He knows the points will come with our attacking options.

Del, I know u have strong ties with BA, but it was one big f**k up on his behalf to talk bs into playing this year while considering retiring.

I am willing to be patient at this point in time if we are at least competitive.

It doesn't sound like he talked him into playing. From what Ben Smith was saying, he wanted to go around but wanted to miss training sessions to reduce wear on his injuries (as with many older, injury prone players). Arthur's told him if he can't complete every training session don't play, and in Smith's mind he was 'talked out of retirement'.

Pretty sure I read an article, and it stated BA talked smith into playing.

Well he's started him in both games so far so it's not like he doesn't want him at the club this year.
