Moses is a second five eighth in our system as well. Drown plays more in the middle with Moses out wider. Moses just does most of the kicking.
Dyl might execute as the half but the game management mentally might be moses. Moses said he stayed on to manage the game a few weeks back when he hurt his groin

Dyl doesn't look like he has the aptitude. He has the off the cuff physical attributes but not the play maker mental one

Yeah that's how I see Brown, not sure why they expect any more really. It's like expecting Luai at the Panthers to play 7.

For mine Guth is the smartest alongside Moses and possibly Lane though Moses can lose his cool sometimes and go off and Lane is not a real leader.

Guth should probably be the game manager and direct what we should do as well as adhearing to the gameplan when Mitch is out. He took control at the end of the tiges match as he realized Dyl was struggling. He might not perform the physical task but get the right person to do it.

Paulo is like a big Dyl. He plays what he sees. That's why he doesnt realize when he needs to tuck it under his arm and just go forward.

Did they actually say that because Pearce i dont think he actually has a brother does he???

He has 2 sisters but i never recall any brother in the loop.

Shows the approach was a fabrication and they have no clue whatsoever.
You want me to check my notes? 😁

Definite yes to Junior from the bench, forever more.

Though I'm not sure if Dylan can do the Mitchell game plan/role... which might be why we had all sorts of shitty workarounds (including Paulo) trying to cover it last game.

I think Gutho essentially has to be Moses. Drown be Drown and Blaize be Moses running game.
That's the one. Don't know why they didn't try it that way last week.
Other than that fix up our attitude and we should at least not look like asshats
And that too. Just need someone to do some short attacking kicks in the 20m zone... I'd have Hands practicing all week, and have him start for Lussick for that reason.

Yeah Blaize should play the fullback role in attack.
He essentially did play fullback in attack. He got half as many touches as Gutherson or Drown and had a lower pass to run ratio than both of them.

Gutherson always has the lowest pass:run of the three, although it is normally lower than Talagi's was against Wests. This can be explained by the fact he is far more likely to run than pass on kick returns. Talagi didn't get those touches.

though he only attacked on the right hand side...maybe he was half a fullback or a half-backl

Instead of thinking halfback/five-eighth/fullback, think in terms of primary/secondary/tertiary playmaker. Fullback is only a position on the defensive side of the ball. In attack he is a playmaker. Halfback and five-eighth are essentially nonsense terms these days, because they don't accurately describe what happens on the field. Talagi took a backseat to Gutherson and Drown, and when he was involved he was less likely than both of them to pass the ball. That's what matters, not which side of the field he was on.

Got a feeling it’ll click this week. Think the boys blew it last week and over complicated things. Keep in simple in their roles and we’ll beat Canberra

Yeah Blaize should play the fullback role in attack.
That’s not what I said. I feel Gutho needs to be manager, last play chief and fullback. Blaize just needs to attack the line and maybe pick up some of the fullback support duties. Drown needs to be Drown.
