Very negative in here, already complaining about the ref, the media, predicting the most embarrassing game of the season.
Doubt it, tigers have been up for a few weeks now, they’re due for a flat week.
Dragons bounce back.
3W 3L after six rounds.
Hey Crush, More than 50 years ago Rugby League was a game played by working class man working a fulltime job and then getting together with mates on the weekend to play the game they loved in a fair true manner. Ahhh the good old days.

After the Super league wars the games has evolved into an entertainment product only.
The NRL has sold the entertainment product to the broadcasters 9, Fox, KAYO. and betting agency Who want the fans and punters to pay for it.
How many clubs are sponsored by a betting agency.... yes a lot of them. Just look at the team's jersey!

The product is so predictable now. Everyone can almost predict which team will get punish with these subjective 6 again bull shit calls, and dodgy subjective referee calls. The product is almost at the point of being staged.

Betting agency want predictability to entice the average punter to pay for the product.
Broadcasters want predictability to lure viewers into paying for the product.
Over 80% of supporters in the western suburbs and Penrith area are all paid stream viewers.

I don't ....what are you alluding to....what fix debacle in that semi?
It won't be in good taste to explain the incident to you on this forum when it involves a deceased champion player (A true Dragons hardman). Who was asked to look for another club and finished his career at the sharks.

So stay back an extra half metre. On the line put one foot on it, I saw them not do this. What, is it too far?
The 10-meter rule applies to both teams, unfortunately some referees only enforce this rule with just one team.
Generally, it's a bottom 8 team or in most case the lower rank team is standing 12 metres and the favour / home team is standing 8 or 9 metres.

Everyone knows referees have tip sheets for every game. You will notice most of our conceded penalties are directed at Jack Bird and Blake Lawrie...they have reputation.

The six-again ruck rule is a subjective rule.
On average most play the balls after the tackle is completed takes about 4 seconds.
Referees who follow the tip sheets only allow Lawrie 3 seconds to get off the player he has tackled before they penalize him.
And referees constantly call "Milking" to jack bird every time he wriggles on the ground for 4 or 5 seconds after being tackled. and he is trying to get up quickly to play the ball.

It's not too far as you mention ......it's not fair or consistent which frustrate players and supporters copping a different interpretation of the rule nearly every game.

One of my best mates is a mad tigers supporter. I’ve never heard anyone complain more about referee bias than him, reckons his team gets the raw end of the deal all the time.
So he thinks the tigers will get rippped off this week, you think the dragons will get ripped off this week.
Perhaps neither team will? It’ll just be a game of footy where the best team wins.

Unfortunately, the Tigers are a bit of a fairytale story in 2024. Any call in the vicinity of even 60/40 will go the Tigers way. Even though Keith Barnes has strong ties to the Illawarra, it will be the Tigers who will get the emotional benefits for this game. The 6 again bell will get a workout and they will get the piggyback penalties. Momentum will be hard to get and keep.
There are still plenty in NRL and media who are filthy we didn't get the spoon instead of the Tigers last season

I would like to believe that it was our inept management and kicking that cost us against the knights, if the ref awarded penalties for dumbness we would be right up there in the top 4. How do you explain what happened against the Phins, we actually came out on top with penalties and 6 against were close, against the Cows 4 bombed try's and leading 18-4, oh yes !!! we are dumb make no mistake about that.

Our players are dumb and that's why they give away penalties and 6 agains. As if the NRL who's boss is a Dragons supporter have it in for us. Why because we won 11 in a row a million years ago? So they will start picking on Penrith now?

I remember us dropping the ball the first 7 times we had it in the 2nd half. That may have helped us losing. Fix? I don't think so.
Hey draginzaar, I never said the games the dragons have played so far were fixed.
however I did say most games looked staged.
The referees have a preconceived opinions (the tip sheet ) how some teams play the game and how to penalize them for it. rather than referring the game in front of him, they are controlling the penalty count.
Have you heard the on field referee say to the bunker referee “how is Trent going”
This is the code the referee use to find out the penalty count for both teams. And adjust his calling of the game accordingly.
it’s no secret, the referee boss has admitted that this what happens. Match fixing …definitely not.
Staging the preemptive penalties. YES.
