LOL....So True Eel quotes one bloke saying that Roberts had the sort of GAME (singular) that we have missed from our 6, and one saying that if one of the "stars" of the media had a game that good they'd be talked up all week, and that's evidence that people in general are comparing him to Kenny??? I forgot how much of a nutbag the guy was

it was 2 quotes for starters (that I could be bothered to post)

and you've never heard of using examples of great players to make a point about talking a player up after 1 game?? anyway, whatever....

(c) allowing some dare I say it...offloads!!!

We made six offloads against Manly.

Against Penrith we made 11. You fool.

As for Roberts he doesn't need to be consistent - we have Hayne and Sandow doing that.

Roberts is better off just having a solid game most weeks (like he's been doing) with the odd blinder when he's in the mood. That's how he fits into our structure; that's what he's getting paid for.

Because if he played every week like he did on Saturday he'd want $500k+ a year, and we can't afford to have three players earning that much.

Don't you get it pal? Roberts is a secondary playmaker in our team. We don't need him to play like Benji every week.

Please Note: Habitual....again nothing against you or your post.....but something for SDM

Roberts is not in the same class as Maloney, Mullen or Foran, not to mention Slater...and the thing is, those guys have games like that (like Roberts) quite often - that is the difference

Huh. Must have missed Mullen and Maloney's debuts for their country. Because after all, a former Test player isn't in the same class as those guys...

Benji is inconsistent. But he's still a freak.

We have Hayne, Sandow and Roberts of those 3 only 1 player needs to be 100% consistent - Hayne. No suprises there BUT in saying that Sandow and Roberts also need to fire, but they're inconsistent. If Hyane can keep up form it'll allow Sandow to have a quiet one when Hayne and Roberts are firing (V Manly) and same goes for Roberts when Hayne and Sandow are firing (v Warriors starting to look that way before hayne got injured) We are blessed with 3 halves who can play great entertaining footy. All they need is the 2/3 to fire and we are in it. if all 3 fire in one game then we will be hard to beat. With Fui and Mannah going forward we have alot more room to move and put some early points on

gee i would have thought we offloaded more against manly as well ....

Because these f**ken nitwits assume playing well = offloading, and that the only way to threaten the opposition's defence is to offload.

Offloading should be a by-product of outplaying the opposition, not the cause of it.

I actually remember our first offload of the match lost us ground. And the Hayne try that Roberts set up didn't come off the back of an offload - he made that break from dummy half.

even against the knights roberts looked our sharpest , tested the line more than anyone, imagine how many tries slater would score sniffing around our no.6...
