IMO, I dont want Robson making the saving tackles tho.. I want him giving us the options to get us some good field position.. And for mine, he failed on that again last night.

I agree, he has the number 7 on for a reason, there are others who could make those tackles. He needs to give us the tackle 5 attacking options( which he is not giving us).

funilly enough i think it was one of Lowries better games, I just don't know what people expect, we've got sh*t players and some play sh*t some play a little above their weight..for some reason we go on as if we expect Lowrie to be Bradley Cyde but it's just not possible.
Very true, it's hard to polish a turd

true, so why are we carrying on like this guy owes us a premiership...I mean he's blamed for everything he does and yet as Johnny says he's hardly the wiorst player in the side.

We have to be realistic here... lowrie, robson and co are not world beaters and its unfair for us to expect them to play flawless games.

atm... they are the best we have and we have to live with that.

Yep. And would it also be asking too much to acknowledge them when they DO make improvements to their games? (ie: Lowrie and Robson l;ast night.)

Yeah it would because any improvement still doesn't bring them close to 1st grade standard.

Look, I know they will always be fringe First Graders at best, and due to the salary cap they are all we can use. But week after week Lowrie drops the ball. Worst hands in the team. That is not being harsh on him, its a fact. We all watch the games. Now is it too much to ask of him to work on that at training?? Is it too much to tell Robson to kick to the seagulls and not straight down the throat of the returning player?? Its the simple things in these players games that they need to work on that would make things a whole lot easier!!

Yeah spot on Nikki. Look I'm not expecting them to be a Thurston or whatever but FFS people these mistakes are basic. Hold the friggin ball, kick to open space it's not rocket science! Lowrie might well be all we have but something as simple as holding the ball can surely not be out of his reach.

At least Lowrie generally puts in.

He did some OK things last night. Didnt he even clean up a kick in the ingoal in the first half? Hardly a backrowers job.

For sure, but the effort is there from Lowrie.

He might not be good enough, but atleast the effort is there and frankly, these threads about him after every game are just plain boring.
I have no doubt Lowrie is trying his butt off, they all did last night. But most park footy players trying their arses off in Z grade doesn't mean they should be playing first grade either.

Yeah, but it's not Todd Lowrie's fault he is no good.

I'm just sick of these predictable threads after EVERY game, even when we've played well the Lowrie bashing is on.

We're stuck with him, he probably wont be here next year, and if he gets another deal in the NRL it will likely be peanuts, so people should just get over it. We have much bigger problems than Todd Lowrie.

Fair enough, but people have to vent somehow. And Tood being Hagans pet is a whipping boy favourite.

Well DA must see something in Lowrie that we just dont. Who knows- DA may just re sign him to stay at the eels ....
At the end of the day, we just have to trust that DA knows what he is doing. Daniel does a ton of video work and would be well aware of what Lowrie is and isnt doing.

If he keeps selecting him in the team, he must think that the team is better having Lowrie there than not having him.
