Honestly I dont see how it should. They might of done well in the past but if there is a player out there performing better than them at the moment, why cant they get a run?

I think it should be like how the NFL Pro Bowl is selected on form, not how much you are loved by the selectors (to an extent).

I also think the selection of Hunt might of had something to do with stopping him playing for the kiwi's, which isnt exactly the best of sportsmanship.

Yeah, that is a fair call. Hodges is an example, Coops has had a pretty quiet year by his usual standards and Hodges has been on fire.

Personally i think hes a w*nker but he was unlucky to miss out

why is everyone so harsh to karmichael? kiwis dont want him to play for them, aussies dont want him. but the fact is selectors do, you cant say just because he isnt the second best fullback he shouldnt be picked. matt king isnt the best winger, he plays centre for his club for gods sake, likewise tahu though he should be in the team somewhere. willie mason is not aussies best prop. johnathan thurston isnt the best bench specialist. please stop criticising hunt because he is not the 2nd best aussie fullback. show faith in him that at least he didnt choose to play for the kiwis and then play for australia but choose australia and stick with them.

The NRL currently has the highest quality of fullbacks the game as ever. In no particular order,

Minichiello
Bowen
Hodgson
Hornby
Thaiday
Wesser
Slater
Inglis
Schifcoske
McKinnon
Patten
Inglis

I think Hunt would rank below most of these. And even though some are unavailable through injury/suspension I'm astounded he's got the call up. I personally would have gone with Bowen, and if not him, perhaps Hornby (no, not dragons bias - he's in great form)

That said, I wish Hunt all the best.

I have no doubt whatsoever this is to stop him playing for NZ. I guarentee after this he won't play for a number of years in the green n gold, maybe never again. This is a disgrace to the league.
