Mansour loves the club that gave him a chance when no one else would.

Great to see a guy who respects what the club has done for them. Most players are interested in money snd nothing else. Although to be fair most people in general are the same
Meh the clubs treat the players the same way

Cowboys fall was predictable. Eels also to a degree, neither as bad as it has so far turned out though.

The Cows especially, they finished 8th last year and were made favourites on the back of three wins against teams who have all disappointed since (although the Sharks and Roosters are starting to gradually play themselves into reckoning). They are all 3 years older than when they won the comp and it shows. I did predict them to struggle before a ball was kicked. Losing McLean has not helped them, their formerly untouchable forward pack now seems average, except Taumalolo occasionally when he decides to have a go.

Parra had a creamy draw last year, even more so than us, and lost Radradra, who papered over a multitude of issues. Their best forward has been injured for ages and the rest of the pack aren't really up to it. Their star signing has also been out all year. Funny how they are looking to sign backs like Mansour when their problem is in the forwards.
I had Cowboys in my top 4. Zero hesitation doing so. Cowboys. Storm and Roosters. My yop 4 certainties.

Cowboys made a grand final boosted and are by the return of Thurston and Scott. Adding Hampton and McLean. Never dreamed they could be worse with those guys.

Eels were definitely never a top 4 quality roster. But i had them as a more than likely top 8 side. Not a spoon contender atleast.

Still a long way to go. But im about 50% on where I thought teams would be.

He made an error (or 2) last night but I reckon he’s been fantastic. Service is terrific & knows when to run. Strong defender. Very underrated player IMO. People seem to look over him because of the raps on Egan.

Egan still has a lot to prove. Looks an exciting talent but has played very limited first grade, he could be another Iosefa.

Either way, we’re in a great position having two apprentices of that quality.

Katoa had a very good game against the dogs a couple of weeks ago when he started. Joey gave him a massive wrap on his passing game from dummy half.
The more game time in first grade he gets the better he will get.

If this was too happen. Certain things would tip the scales. How would the Dragons look with Dufty, Aitken, Nightingale and Hunt out? I am sure the other week Tigers thought nice easy Eels here too.

People don't give us enough credit for what we have done
What we've done and whether or not there are easy games are quite separate issues IMO.

There will always be relatively easier or harder games. This will be determined through roster strength, ins and outs and form. Yes, take a few players out of the Dragons and it should make it easier than if they're at full strength. I'd still rather play the Eels than the Dragons - I consider them easier opposition all else being equal. Still need to turn up with right attitude though.

In our case, our roster strength and form is compensating for our injuries. To sit where we are with the injuries we've had is phenomenal and is just starting to be recognised by the media.

Still debate over how soft the NRL competition is these days?

Gus called it in 2016. Was soft then and it's getting softer now.

We should be happy. It's the reason why we are a genuine chance to take it out this year.

How come you don’t make a big deal when RCG or Fish miss a tackle?

You only focus on the players you don’t like. Makes it very difficult to take anything you say seriously.
They can miss soft tackles. They're aggressive and often f**k up as a result. Doesnt make the result any better. But you can't criticize their effort or heart. Which is what Tamou is being criticized for.

59m gained and 3 missed tackles. One directly resulting in a try... and he was off the field almost immediately so the coach likrly felt similar about him. He is supposed to be leading our pack. But hes doing well if he's in our top 5 forwards these days. No name reserve graders are coming in matching or exceeding him.

Yeah, wasn’t asking you.
