I think a lot of the dropped balls come from the lack of confidence from not winning games.

Look at our start last year, Semi and Peats were on fire, Hayne was there and confidence was up. Passes stuck. As soon as we started dropping games, heads went down and more mistakes crept in.

We need to find a way to win. I worry that the golden point loss to the Warriors will affect some in the team tremendously. I hope Arthur can weed out those who are mentally weak.

Watmough's strong leadership will get us through.

Mau has become very predictable. The short ball close to the line to Mau is getting very easy to read.

I think our dropped balls arise more from poor decision making under pressure, rather than pure physical skills.

I think we play a fairly high risk game as well. That suits some of our players (e.g. Takairangi, Hopoate, Norman, Ma'u, Edwards, Gower - basically, edge players with some footy brains) and not others (e.g. Moeroa and Sandow - he is, counterintuitively, better suited to a low risk game where match conditions determine his involvement).

This game is high risk for the simple reason that it demands a lot of ball movement, increasing the chance of mistakes. Which is pretty much what you said, Barry.

hardly his fault, our attack is so slow and predictable to read. We take no energy out of the opposition. I would love to see some bodies in motion and for us to actually back up the ball carrier for a change.

Yeh it's true that he hasn't made as many clean breaks as last year, since round 2 he has run for 142m, 125m, 71m, 120m, 152m, 56m, and 92m. So he has done ok.

Mau has been our most consistent forward all season, not happy with the way he is being used??? Then blame the untouchable coach.

Ma'u is one of those blokes that is going to look good in an ordinary team, because he is an aggressive player that will have a go no matter what, where others around him will flounder.

He's a good player.

I agree with Mau- He has become a fan fave and he plays hard, but im not convinced he will be a starting 2nd rower for the next 3 years. He does miss a few tackles and is a bit light. Im not saying he has been bad, he hasn't. Im just not 100% sold on him as of yet thats all.

I still think Gower and Wicks are our best too forwards

Sandow does not know how to use his weapons...
The short ball to Manu close to the line? Thats where i want a short ball too Pauli or Tepai.
Mau needs early ball in a wide spread so he can run and try and get arm free too pass.Once he hits the line he is too light to break it.He breaks the line using his foot work.

Ma'u - 184cm and 103kg
Gillett - 187cm and 104kg

Ma'u is not small.
