Round 11 v Rabbitohs - Team List

We don't need a pack full of guys who simply make metres.

We need some of those but we also need edge players that can threaten the line - either breaking it or popping through enough to get balls free.

Ma'u was originally like that, now he is not. Moeroa isn't like that either.

We don't have those players. We have the simple, decent players (Mannah, for example) but we have no one that can actually create anything.

Our pack is, at best, average.

I think Ma'u is suffering from the inability of his halves to use him properly more than anything to do with his own ability or form tbh.

Pauli Paulli.... I still think Tepai is like that, have you seen him in wenty? Pops passes and gets arms free. Players come into first grade and are scared to make a mistake.KE also can create a bit but is injured.

Mau needs early ball and some space. He cant do a lot without early ball after a good charge and the defense on the back foot.

You need variety in your pack thou and we lack a bit. I think with Jnr back he gives us something a little different and so will Gower who offloads a lot.

Every team has a weakness just about in the NRL. I dont think our forwards are the worse problem thou.Id say our halfback and fullback are whats costing us the most.

Telegraph has sandow returning tomorrow night in some capacity possibly fullback. The only good news around here. He is our best game winner since hayne left and if you dont agree with that you don't know our team very well. Our odds of winning just doubled and so did our potential to avoid another spoon

This team actually loses twice as many games when Sandow doesn't play, so if he was a game loser wouldn't the wins at least improve? Do you figure it has something to do with the rest of the team?

Sandow makes lemonade out of lemons

Because when he gets dropped we're already in a downward spiral. He needs to stay dropped so we can start clawing our way back out.

As much as I'm not a Sandow fan, if we want to be a chance of winning games we need him in the side. I'd give him a run at fullback, sure he's small and cant tackle, but he'd add genuine attack and fullback would probably suit him on attack. What have we got to loose.

I don't think it matters whether Sandow is the answer or not...Arthur has no choice because of the second tier cap issue. We have to have as many top 25 players as we can in the side, I would think.

I was talking about this to my brother this afternoon. I actually believe this is a positive as Arthur won't be able to pull up any more under performing reserve graders.

Would Gordon be 2nd tier?

I'd so wouldn't he further stuff up the salary cap if we played him?

This must be why BA was looking for cap concessions for Gordon.

But if we have the money available in the NRL salary cap we can sign him anyway.

The problem with that thinking is he can't drop the under performing first graders....
