I don't think it matters whether Sandow is the answer or not...Arthur has no choice because of the second tier cap issue. We have to have as many top 25 players as we can in the side, I would think.

I would imagine the 25 players we've used so far is it for the remainder of the season. I guess there's money left over in the main Cap for a new player like Gordon though.

So who from the named side will/won't play? Is Pauli Pauli top 25?

I think we can play everyone we have used so far this season, but we will not be able to use any more, unless they're part of our Top 25 already. Although there was obviously an issue with Faraimo, so it sounds like we're only going to have a certain amount of 2nd tier players in the team each week.

This must be why BA was looking for cap concessions for Gordon.

But if we have the money available in the NRL salary cap we can sign him anyway.

We would need to free up a top 25 spot and put Gordon in the top 25 I would think.
Bye Bye Darcy.

tbh I feel like M'au is playing like he's not part of a team (infact our whole team is like that) .... to me it seems like he sees we are struggling so just runs hard at the line and not much else - which is great but he gets gang tackled ..... his advantage early last year was that he put on a step and had a pass up his sleeve - ie playing a team game - but now, just running staright n hard, he's just easy pickings

I actually think Sandow would be a better option at fullback than Robinson. I'm interested to see how that goes

Hoppa was hammered because he was slow and couldn't catch. Sandow would be worse on both counts. He will be exploited badly with high balls and I can't see his defensive positioning being up to scratch.

x 2 he's been wasted on the edges. We seem incapable of getting the ball to him at the right time.

We don't need a pack full of guys who simply make metres.

We need some of those but we also need edge players that can threaten the line - either breaking it or popping through enough to get balls free.

Ma'u was originally like that, now he is not. Moeroa isn't like that either.

We don't have those players. We have the simple, decent players (Mannah, for example) but we have no one that can actually create anything.

Our pack is, at best, average.

Agree. But I believe Tepai can be that player he just need time to get used to the speed of the game. He's only young.

Hey guys i have a question on tonights game. Members normally get reciprocal membership into the away game against Souths, however we didn't play them at homebush this year so i'm thinking this would apply this year. I couldn't find anything on the website. Anyone here know for sure?

Season ticket holders have to pay to go tonight. Our tickets aren't valid for entry.

Please note that this game is a Rabbitohs home game, and does not include reciprocal entry for Eels Members (as Rabbitohs matches sometimes do).

However, the Rabbitohs are offering Eels Members a discount of 30% on all tickets to the game - check your Membership emails for details.

Why can't you have Robinson at fullback in positions for high balls?

Sandow is quicker than Hopoate. One thing Sandow doesn't lack is speed on his feet.

Not really that easy. To do that - he needs to be back there for the whole defensive set. That leaves Kelly and Sandow both defending in the front line which is a concern. It can work -I agree but not that easy to do.

No one is putting a bomb up on the 3rd tackle... I would imagine that 99% of high kicks are put up on the last tackle. You can plan your strategy accordingly. You've got to think outside the box sometimes

Right so on the 5th tackle, Chrissy bolts forward to the defensive line, and Reece quickly runs back to be in position before the ball is played. Yeah - that will work.

And if Sandow is back there - they WILL put up a bomb on the 3rd - who wouldn't?
