It's going to suck losing to the Titans...

No Api is going to hinder us across the park - From forwards not being able to lay the platform, to the halves having no time to get it out to the backs... Just a snowball of shit from one player being out. This is going to be great for the Titans.

Oh well, it was fun being 1st while it lasted.

In comparison to one another then Edwards brings better attack. But I wouldn't sit here and say Edwards' strength is his attack. Its his safety at the back foremost.

Probably the best thing you could say about Aikens is that he is safe. That is where I think Cleary sees Aikens fitting.

I honestly think it is Edwards attack. He’s the best support runner in the team, it’s his major strength. Our attack improved quite a bit when he returned.

I think there is a method to the madness in regards to Burton not getting much play time. I'm convinced that the coaching staff are treating him like a backup quarterback in the NFL, and always waiting on the bench.

There is no point in trying to find a spot for him in a starting line up when there are better options. At the same time, risking Burton would be a bad move if he did get injured, do who would come in as a backup half if Cleary or Luai got injured?

May might be the obvious choice, but even he hasn't played there for quite some time as he is spending his time in the backrow.

Methinks Burton in cotton wool is good insurance, and if this is the case, I'm sure Burton himself can see the logic.

That sounds more like madness to the method to me. I’ve never heard of keeping a player in cotton wool just in case he gets injured, remember he’d be playing reserve grade for sure if it was an option. There’s no equivalent to that in the NFL.

I also think we will win. Expect a dominant performance from Cleary again. Also thinking Leinu might see a few more minutes as his impact has been outstanding over the last couple weeks. It will be tempting to have him over Tetevano on the bench ongoing.

Have you seen the betting odds? The experts are expecting a win too.

With our forward pack mostly in tact, and our halves, we’re still clear favourites.

Cleary should use the opportunity to run at the line more, that’s his major attacking weapon.

Despite the losses we should easily win this game.
Our defensive attitude is what we have been built on this year and I think Ivan’s selection are a reflection that he is focused on that.

I still hope to see Burton in the squad and playing a bit of fullback, mainly because I am concerned about Edwards injuries and Aekins isn’t good enough for finals footy if needed.
Hamstrings injuries seem to be very hard to deal with.

Staines may get a shot at fb next week but I think it’s important to figure out who should be next in line if injuries hit.
Kenny is our next in line hooker and needs some time on field, hopefully Barrett’s super attack coaching is a real thing and Kenny has added to his game.

You would think 3-4 weeks.
Staines due back next week covers Edwards.
Kenny isn't terrible. He is no Api but will do a job
And Whare most on here wanted out anyway

Play GC
Manly
Canberra
Warriors

So still a chance in all of those games regardless

I'm sure the players will want to win this one. The Titans beat us last year and it may have cost a playoff spot. I like most don't think that the team selected will take the field. Kenny is no Api but a real goer. I don't think MWZ will start. Put Naden on the wing and May at Centre with Burton on the bench.
