In fact, if anyone is there to offer a decent counter argument to the defensive paranoia of club lovers, BF is as good as it gets.
From what I've seen over the years, he just has an offensive counter argument that opens up discussion.

Fair enough you don't think Watmough has provided any leadership, despite his credentials, and we have two more proven leaders arriving next year so obviously Watmough can't change us on his own. But it's ignorant to think Hayne provided any while he was here just because he happened to be a great player.

I think you make a very good point and I think AGAIN questions need to be asked of Brad Arthur's tactical nous and credentials as a coach. I thought part of the reason why you had a bad spell in the game vs the panthers last week was due to Pauli Pauli's stupidity, so I was surprised that he was selected in the first place! However, the biggest question remains that if you don't have confidence in putting Pauli and Alvaro on the field then why on earth are they in the team in the first place? No one can say they weren't needed - Parra were obviously out on their feet after the 60th minute and Taumalolo was running riot! If that is not a situation in which fresh forwards are required then I'm not sure what is!

I have been focussing on Arthur since day 1, never said I was convinced of his coaching to the shocked dismay of the lu 'experts'.

His sides are as weak as piss

I do think that Arthur has to take some responsibility for that loss. His prop rotations were just plain stupid. If Pauli and Alvaro are not ok to put on whilst 24 points up then when will they be? Amateur hour. Just dumb coaching from even dumber players.

You make a fair point, but our defensive intensity was down from early in the second half. Sending a couple of rookies on wouldn't have stopped the rot.

:lol: and all those games were Haynes fault. That Cowboys game Hayne had your favourite 5 LBA and once we lost control of the ruck and possession We got steam rolled just like tonight. But the difference was our team back then was pretty bloody terrible. This team you keep telling us is fantastic just out of luck........

I am still unsure on BA. I said that last year when we only had to beat canberra or Knights to make the 8.
I think his idea of winning is just complete sets and be physical. Mentally we are not there. I say let him see out his 3rd year. If we do no finish in the top 8. He has to go unless injuries.
Look at Cleary-Good coach but they can not do much either.And it takes about 4 yrs too really stamp yourself on a team.Cleary was lucky in his 3rd year they fired.This is his 4th and having no luck. Next year BA could lose foran for the year and that would end his coaching career. But if he makes the top 5 than it buys him some time.

I still think our club needed a guy like Bennet-Cleary-Hasler-Bellamy...A guy that you know can coach and its just having to sort out his team. Untill we have 3 years in the top 4-5 you can not say BA is a good coach.

Arthur always has a bit of attitude in his pressers. I hope someone asks him the tough question about his stupid use of the bench. He f**ked up big time tonight.

Pretty much this, we were just too tired the last 20mins. Just ran out of puff, the way Arthur uses his interchanges are just laughable.

We have a hooker and two edge forwards who can play 80 minutes. That means we have four benchies for three other middle forward spots. If we only use two of them that's still only five blokes sharing 240 minutes. You think Mannah, Watmough, Gower, Wicks and Paulo can't handle 48 minutes each?

We weren't out of puff, we just weren't able to cover our defensive deficiency on the right edge. Sandow ruins everything, and Moeroa still makes some dumb decisions.

I felt worse with the losses too warriors and Souths tbh.They where gut wrenching as the team tried there guts out and just couldn't get there.
Today we where blown off the park by a better team that took 50 mins to warm up.
