We led 14-0 against the Dogs and were beaten 34-14: Hayne brain snap costs Eels

Also led 26-10 against the Cowboys and got beaten 40-26: Cowboys storm home to dash Eels

The we led 22-8 against the Titans before losing 28-22: Titans too slippery for Eels

We led the Knights 12-8 with a finals spot on the line and let in 34 unanswered points: Parramatta Eels' finals hopes dealt blow, losing 42-12 to Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium

Fair enough you don't think Watmough has provided any leadership, despite his credentials, and we have two more proven leaders arriving next year so obviously Watmough can't change us on his own. But it's ignorant to think Hayne provided any while he was here just because he happened to be a great player.

So your answer was NO. We never lead a game 30-6 with 25 to go whilst The Plane was on the field.

We have a hooker and two edge forwards who can play 80 minutes. That means we have four benchies for three other middle forward spots. If we only use two of them that's still only five blokes sharing 240 minutes. You think Mannah, Watmough, Gower, Wicks and Paulo can't handle 48 minutes each?

We weren't out of puff, we just weren't able to cover our defensive deficiency on the right edge. Sandow ruins everything, and Moeroa still makes some dumb decisions.

Agree...I would not of bought Alvaro on or Pauli. How would of they stopped it?
What about Seph on bench Pou for when we are infront to protect lead?

I agree with you about Sandow. If he is retained under any circumstance than Arthur is a moron. He is the worst defensive player in the history of the game. Tepai will move to the bench when Scott comes in 2016.

I had the same feeling. It's pretty damn sad when at 30-6 with 15 to go ...you still
Know as a supporter that there's a chance of getting beat.

What a disgusting dreadful performance that was. The whole club is a joke from
Top to bottom.

Arthur has to start getting points on the board. Pressure will be in the current board to make a
Call about this guy. I will say that I hope
He turns it around as I don't mind him but losses like this .... Then questions need to be asked.

If you don't think the players weren't out on their feet the last 10mins you are kidding yourself. Keep making excuses, just admit it the coach f**ked up. He has before and he will again, doesn't mean I want him replaced because as someone mentioned earlier I think their is a decent coach in there somewhere. You are right Sandow is just too big a defensively liability once you lose control of the ruck. Especially with someone like Thurston.

i remember many yrs ago ...parra leading 22-0 at half time and broncos came back to win 24-22.
That was prob 20 yrs ago.ive always remember that as the worst lose for me.Being there at 22 nil at half time to lose killed me.

that day has now been replaced.

I went to a game in 2002 where we led the Storm 30-10 at halftime and lost.

I am still unsure on BA. I said that last year when we only had to beat canberra or Knights to make the 8.
I think his idea of winning is just complete sets and be physical. Mentally we are not there. I say let him see out his 3rd year. If we do no finish in the top 8. He has to go unless injuries.
Look at Cleary-Good coach but they can not do much either. And it takes about 4 yrs too really stamp yourself on a team.Cleary was lucky in his 3rd year they fired. This is his 4th and having no luck. Next year BA could lose foran for the year and that would end his coaching career. But if he makes the top 5 than it buys him some time.

I still think our club needed a guy like Bennet-Cleary-Hasler-Bellamy...A guy that you know can coach and its just having to sort out his team. Untill we have 3 years in the top 4-5 you can not say BA is a good coach.

I think you and other Parramatta fans are 100% right to question the coach. Losing games when your going through a bit of a rebuilding phase is acceptable but when your throwing games away due to stupidity and illogical tactical decisions then questions have to be asked. A few weeks ago I posted a whole list of question decisions Brad Arthur has made and based on tonight's performance that list has gotten a bit longer! A lot of people seem to think that the players need to take responsibility and be more accountable and while that maybe true, it is the coaches job to get the team playing well and winning games. Many people may not like it but that's just the way that the sport works; if this is not the case then how come when a team performs badly the coach is always the one who gets sacked? In terms of different options, I'm thinking someone like Michael Potter could be a good choice. I thought he did an exceptional job at the Tigers before Robbie Farah undermined his authority.

Didn't say I knew the best way to use but you could clearly see in that period where the Cowboys scored 5 tries in 12mins that there were some big boys walking, some players played more minutes than they aRe used to and you could tell in around the 55th minute when the line speed slowed and players were taking longer to get onside from kicks etc. that would have been a sign to give a couple of the big boys a rest for a bit and get fresh legs out there, but what would I know?

Our defence was f**ked long before they started scoring tries. Right after Radradra scored I posted that it was lucky because our intensity was way down.

But what would I know?

Maybe in hindsight. Were you calling for Paulo's inclusion over Alvaro, before the game?

I was surprised Alvaro was in the 17 ahead of Seph. Mainly from Salary Cap point of view though.

Unless Alvaro is capable of contributing 25-30 he shouldn't be selected.

I would probably have Seph on the bench instead of Alvaro unless he can do that.

We didn't have a right edge.

We had a curved defensive line, and sometimes a diagonal line.

It had nothing to do with individuals. It was complete lack of structure, leadership and coaching.

And they were definitely out of puff. Hence why the attack dropped off the face of the earth.

I notice you don't mention Ryan "very good defender" in your analysis.

Just because a player can play the full 80 doesn't mean they should be out there for that duration. When players become fatigued they make errors and I think that is what happened with Moeroa; I felt he should have been given a rest - at least for 10 minutes.

what are you laughing at you apologist, the attack was dreadful because the players were absolutely knackered.

I thought it was because they were shit? Anyway our attack wasn't dreadful - we scored 30 points against the competition leaders.

It's our defence that was shit, like I f**ken told you on the second page of the thread.
