We won. All the top teams won by 1 or 2 points this round.
Currently sitting 1st so I'd say we are definitely top 4 material!

Yeah but l might not be around for the finals, based on another display like that.
The medi-cab team have just administered 300ml of pure Gin to settle my nerves and my pulsating heart.
An emergency purchase order of 1 x case of Gordons Gin has been emailed to Dan Murphys Oxenford, Gold Coast.

Dragons won.

Patient is now settled, with a smile on his face and a Gin bottle on drip feed, inserted intravenously.
Mrs OKB has requested a nice cuppa and a nose peg to sensor the snoring from the patient.
The northern Gold Coast suburb of Monterey Keys is quiet, again.

Good night.

Were the Bulldogs a far better team then most on this forum gave them credit for , or did we not play up to expectations ? Where are the people whom predicted the 20 + 30 + 50 + score line in our favour . We were never going to win by such a amount , the game would be a bit of a shat fight , more so with our own ' Napolean ' directing our tactics .

Guys look at the rest of the Round.

Most of the top sides struggled. That’s what byes and Origin does. And if you can bank wins during this period. then it’s a bonus. We had 5 guys in Origin camp and the rest of the side had 9 days off.

No surprise we were off. But unlike previous years, we managed to beat a side who have consistently beaten us at a ground where we rarely win.

So happy to get the 2 points and get back home where we haven’t lost this year.

But that performance was on par with the Panthers and Rabbitohs. Are they also not Top 4 sides? Relative to our rivals, yes we are a top 4 side. Top teams don't always win by smashing lower teams, as long as they win.

Fair enough, but Panthers and bunnies only had a two day break after origin and the Bunnies elected to play without their origin players. We had five days after SOO and were at full strength. Yes we won, and I hope the team gets some confidence from it because I don't.

Those big margins were always pipe dreams. Bulldogs are easily the best of the dwellars, in fact they've bin in many of the games they have lost

That coupled with the hoodoo means we should be very happy with this win

This is true, but why the heck did Mary only use 15 and a half players instead of the full 17.

I agree Johnno, the top 6 teams will be laughing at us.
Widdop, Hunt and a few others need to pull their million dollar socks up.

To be honest, as long as we can get these scrappy wins and stay in the top 3, I’m happy.

There is no point peaking now. Souths and Penrith are having a run right now that can’t be maintained till the GF. There will be a let down eventually.

I’d rather have our lull now and still bank wins and hit our straps a few weeks from the finals.

We started the season fast, but we weren’t going to go 24-0 for the year. Hopefully the coaching staff will have them peaking around August and give this comp a real shake.
