To be honest, as long as we can get these scrappy wins and stay in the top 3, I’m happy.

There is no point peaking now. Souths and Penrith are having a run right now that can’t be maintained till the GF. There will be a let down eventually.

I’d rather have our lull now and still bank wins and hit our straps a few weeks from the finals.

We started the season fast, but we weren’t going to go 24-0 for the year. Hopefully the coaching staff will have them peaking around August and give this comp a real shake.
Well said.

Very pleased that the move has finally been made Mann to Nightingale's wing . There is now good speed and with that will come better defence all along the backline .

Now go out boys and kick sum ass and bite the occasional ear if one should happen to get in the way.
I would Love to see Mann take Lafai's spot, Lafia is great in Defense , Man can Break Tackles, still leaves us with a weak wing spot, Needs to be addressed

None of the ISP forwards such as Host, Lawrie, Leilua or Sele will get any game time until the SOO players are unavailable. Mary has so much confidence in these players that he prefers to use Mann and Nightingale as forwards. We most well wave these four Musketeers goodbye now along with Herbert and Lomax.

Sure nightys sheer effort will always be valuable and I don't expect Mary to change back but just saying that Mann did not look comfortable on the wing tonight.

Agree.
The only other option.
With lomax still upto 4 weeks away is to play herbert he is able to play a similar role to what nighty played today.
But I would play him on the wing and have mann on the bench.
Imo

Luv getting flak from a bulldog fan at half time. He who laughs last, laughs the loudest.
I got flak from one at fulltime even after they lost. Most of them are grubby supporters, just like the their club.
We were bog average but at least we held on for the win. I think that annoyed them even more cause they thought they were gonna snatch it late. Makes it even sweeter but again, we were off big time.

Were the Bulldogs a far better team then most on this forum gave them credit for , or did we not play up to expectations ? Where are the people whom predicted the 20 + 30 + 50 + score line in our favour . We were never going to win by such a amount , the game would be a bit of a shat fight , more so with our own ' Napolean ' directing our tactics .

Gareth.
I would say bulldogs lifted as they always do against the dragons.
We didn't play as well as we can we were clunky.
Widdop and hunt and the origin boys only trained together for the captain's run.
I would say sould be be a lot better next week

Yes the Dogs lifted as they always do , as you suggest against us.

My issue lies that within 8 minutes , we had these grubs by the throat. I really thought we would put them away. I posted many times, beware of the Dogs , so its not as if i thought it would be a stroll in the park, but after our start IT should have been.

Dumb errors, poor decisions cost us again.

We got the 2 points, and for that I am grateful. No more no less.

Agree 100% true we need to lift or we will lose next week.

Why do we keep diverting the issue at hand?

I am proud as punch to be on top of the ladder but today we played a team that offered nothing. Zero.

That's the worst Dogs side I have seen fielded in years. We started on fire and looked the goods.

We won by the skin of our arse. I want to see more. If we are real contenders, we need to put a big score on second rate sides like the Dogs.

Could not have said this any better . At full strength and could have lost this . We need to tighten the nuts or the wheels will fall off ......
