General disrespect? What are you? His mother? All westy said was if Dyl is ready, he comes back. Absolutely NOTHING to do Aekins or some imagined disrespect.

Suggesting he is irrelevant is hugely disrespectful the kid deserves better.

Are all our back up players irrelevant or just Caleb.

What about Matt Burton he is the back up to Jerome & Nathan is he irrelevant?

I’m a huge Dylan Edwards fan I just don’t see the need to rush him back.

Don’t you continually say we should trust the staff? If they think he’s fit does anything else matter?

Wake up to yourself. Were having a debate. You put yourself out there as promoting opinions but when things don’t suit your narrative you want to call people out.

I called out Westy for suggesting Caleb is irrelevant. Stand by everything I’ve said. For the record in this great season Caleb has played in 8 games, Dylan 5. As I said recently I supported Dylan to the hilt when there was a consensus on here he wasn’t up to it. Still stand by him just don’t get the disrespect towards Caleb which is irrefutable.

He was saying Aekins isn’t relevant to the decision if Edwards is fit or not.

Oh god, even when pointed out there was no f**king disrespect you’re still going...

THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO DISRESPECT TO CALEB AEKINS. HE SAID HE WAS IRRELEVANT TO THE CONVERSATION ABOUT EDWARDS RETURNING FROM INJURY.

You good now?

I didnt read it as Caleb being irrelevant as a part of the teams success. But as irrelevant as far as the decision on whether Dyl plays or not.
I agree with you that Caleb has copped more than his share of criticism, but this isn't one of those times.

Im not a fan if Aekins obviously. But would prefer we ran with him and Laurie this week and give Edwards more time to be 100%. Although ideally Laurie gets more minutes.

I cant see anyway we lose. But even if we did it would be better than winning and losing Edwards for a few more weeks. Hamstring injuries seem to reccur frequently and you can never be too safe with them. An extra week couldn't possibly be a bad thing for him. IMO he's crucial to our premiership hopes.

I completely agree mate. Edwards should have all the time he needs to be 100%

It's a very one sided debate since I wasn't debating. You've seen the word "irrelevant" but missed the context. If Aekins is deemed necessary for this week I'm sure he'll give the same service he has so far. Just saying he shouldn't factor into any decision on Edwards fitness.

All good. I expressed my opinion which differed from yours. Wasn’t personal, tried to present a balanced argument, didn’t use any bold aggressive text or language. Ironic given I supported Dylan to the hilt when not to long ago he didn’t have to many supporters. Anyway in closing I hope he is rested for another week.

Wasn’t that a large part of the point I was making in the first instance or did you miss that part.
You’re still missing my point. I never said Aekins should miss out for a half baked Edwards. Literally no one did. As in, no one. You’ve imagined some slight on Aekins, we pointed it out and you’ve continued to say so... it’s just f**king weird.

Hamstrings are problematic, just ask Matt Moylan, Tommy Turbo.

There is no need to rush him back, the more rest and recovery the better chance when he does return he may not suffer a re-occurrence of the issue.

My issue is not so much whether Dylan returns, just the general disrespect shown to Caleb. He has done everything asked of him as a back up and some of the hate on here is just astonishing. When I got home from our great win against the Raiders all the conversation around the game seemed to centre upon Calebs deficiencies or inadequacy. Couldn’t believe it. Had a couple of days forum free to which is sad after such a great win.

Let’s not re-write history here, it’s not so long ago many on here had written off Dylan Edwards because apparently he wasn’t a ball playing fullback. I was one of the few who went into bat for him time and time again.

Dylan is our number 1 fullback no issues there, I just don’t see the need to bring him back this week in a game we should win comfortably with or without him.

If someone isn't FG standard. Calling them such isn't disrespectful but regardless if Edwards is fit he should play

I don't think he is. So why would he play over our fit 1st choice fullback? Fit being the key word.

I don't agree. Yep he may not have the speed that Dylan does. But that doesn't make him not of first grade standard.

He's been great for the team, Very good in defence, and does what the coaches need him to do.

I think that comment is quite harsh..........

Dylan at the moment is the first choice fullback. Caleb is a very adequate backup to Dylan

But to say Caleb isn't of first grade standard.........I kinda shocked at that.

I tend to agree that he’s an adequate backup, and to say he’s not FG standard is a little harsh, but he wouldn’t be playing FG if Dyl was fit, so I KIND OF see where he coming from.
