My opinion, now keep in mind my track record is better then anyone on this forum.

What we have is a dedicated, robotic half. He does however have good vision, but poor execution. His lag time is far to slow for NRL and he lacks agility.
His defense is solid and will improve due to size. His kick games average but possible to improve . Well not possible naturally it will improve. Will he be an NRL regular? Hard to tell. He certainly won't be electric but he could be a solid controlling half who has great defense and stick to a game plan. I dont think we will know untill 2024/ 2025 where he will end up. Highly doubt he'd ever reach origin status. Possible he becomes a Chad Townsend level however which is still very good.
He's probably only going to get slower. And he needs to improve markedly in that department but I don't see it happening. Which is probably why he isn't in the club's plans.

Agree that he will likely get slower. How do you know he isn't in the clubs plans?

not sure what you’ve seen. One average player not sure he’ll have a FG career

I don't think it's just footy where coordination has an inverse relationship with height.
Well 188cm isn't very tall by NRL standards. Nicho Hynes is as tall as him, while Burton and Wighton are both taller. If anything Arthur's problem is that he is too lean. He needs to get stronger. At almost 20 years of age he is unlikely to get taller, but he needs more muscle to help his running game. Hynes is 8kg heaver while Burton and Wighton are both 14kg heavier (but only 2cm taller).

All three of those guys are in a different class when it comes to movement.

I would say we have a fair bit more $$$s committed to our two first choice halves (now and planned for the near future) than most of those teams with a decent backup .... how much cash can you commit to those 2 positions? .... not saying im a fan of jake, but he would be on pitance and it probably enables us to throw more at moses and drown

Again Penrith have the two SOO halves and still have a 3rd better one then we do.

They are huge Jake fans no denying that. I wasnt there so I can't comment. Jakes last NSW Cup game that I saw was the best Ive seen from him apart from one massive error that led to opposition points. Hes learning and having Rankin at 1 and mostly out of his way will prove his worth. Id like to see him do more however. He leaves heaps to young Gaznier who dosent lose much by comparison. That said Id love to see Perham at 6. Sam L is on the bench this week. They should find a spot for him.

That's it in a nutshell. He is still learning and needs to keep learning before he is an NRL player, which at the moment is way to fast for him.
