Likewise. I'm unsure we will steam roll them.....
We need to win by 14 to get back at 4th place, but I wouldn't be all that surprised, but extremely disappointed if we lose all together.
We are the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hide team of the comp and have been for so long now.
On another note.
Just heard Cameron Smith, Brandy and I think Johns(not sure caught it on the run), discussing and comparing teams that were mentally strong on the radio(SEN 1170) just now and Smith mentioned the obvious suspects like Penrith and the Storm and now even the Broncos get a look in. Parra though are never mentioned in those terms ever other then to point out that we need to find that side of our game. Says it all really.
Also curious thing that Smith also mentioned that about half the teams in the NRL don't train as hard as the top teams and that is why they have so many fades during games. He sees it in the way they play and respond to things when under pressure and fatigue. It is bleeding obvious and easy to fix because it is the non-talent side of the game. Something I have been harping on about forever, but anyway, lets move on shall we. They also said that if these less fit teams were to train like the better trained teams, that the coach would have a rebellion on his hands by all the whinging players that don't like it and don't have that type of fortitude and don't like feeling that uncomfortable.
Brandy was stunned that players can have such a negative influence on the coaching practices and kept saying that it should be an easy fix, but it somehow isn't.
So much for Pou's constant rhetoric that all teams train just as hard as the next team and that they are all more or less equal now a days. It is obvious that they are not if you get your head out of the stats world and only use them for a guide and actually watch the game and trust what you see.
Also pays to have common sense though, so I guess that is why Pou has to rely so much on stats instead.
