Good win. Infact any win for me since the salary cap drama is a good win, whether its ugly or not.
That's 3 in a row for the boys, now they get another weeks break to prepare for a big battle in the next game.
Defence is good, I think theyre 3rd overall for best defence. Out wide early in the game they didn't mark up properly, perhaps that's why Toutai and Gutherson swapped in the second half. But didn't give up. Souths probably didn't offer much in attack but Parra still didn't give up in defence.
In attack at times in the second half they looked a bit lost, trying the trick shots and thinking blokes are gonna punch through holes all the time. I swear they attacked Souths goal line about 3 times and didn't get much, but lucky for that knock on, they mustve realised Semi's our best attacking weapon, lets use it off the scrum. Great play to set up French. Big things ahead for French. Manu was good, Edwards was great.
I don't care if we're playing a low side, Parra are down on troops, lost players to other clubs and have copped so much this year, theyre doing the talking on the field and not worrying about off field stuff, especially BS in the media. Arthur deserves a lot of credit for keeping the boys together and turning up each week.
If they put in a huge effort against Cronulla and keep up those performances each week, then regardless if they miss the 8 or make it, 2017 certainly looks bright.
