Egan needs the development and we are better served with a specialist hooker. Adding May won't fill the hole Kikau leaves. The bench will be fine if Ellis doesn't get sent off.

I just think May offers much more versatility and can play 10-20 minutes at dummy half if need be while not suggesting for one minutes he fills the hole left by Kikau.
Wade Egan is a talented player but he has plenty of time to develop.
Personally I think our 17 would be far stronger if we had either May or Lui-Toso on the bench.
If Katoa need's a break then surely May or even Peachy could do a job for limited minutes. If it was Peachy then we have Yeo & CHN who can fill the centre role for the same amount of time.
I am not criticising Wade Egan but I just don't see what his limited game time brings to the side when we could get much more value from other options.
Look I'll admit I just don't want Egan dropped.

Egan can jag us a try late in the game, as he did in the Dragons game. However, having a bench position covering only hooker seems a luxury we can't really afford.Look I'll admit I just don't want Egan dropped.

It is not a case of being dropped it is simply the coach making a decision to make the bench stronger overall .
In my opinion we need more from our bench in order to beat the Roosters.
They have a much stronger 1-5 than we do, the halves probably balance each other out so we if we are going to win then it will be our forwards and bench who will need to do the business.
Thought you were in the Blake to wing camp?Unless Blake is stupidly put on the wing. Peachey will take Egan's spot next game or we play one prop off the bench which I can't see happening
Sure Aussie Jim is a plod but the other 3 are future Immortals.Who the hell are those nobodies on your bench?
Two ploddy wingers too.
And I thought this game might be close! Guess not.
Your best hope will be Cummins and Klown. They aren't fond of Easts.
You're the most referee helped team in the competition, have a bottomless cap and you're barely in the top eight. Basketcase of a club.Who the hell are those nobodies on your bench?

Lay off the acid. You're the most referee helped team in the competition, have a bottomless cap and you're barely in the top eight. Basketcase of a club.
Hopefully Jack Hetherington does not get suspended, again.Yeah that's a pretty realistic look at it. Our back row will be playing 80 for sure. Ellis/Hetherington will be middles with Tamou. I trust Hetherington to do a good job.
Truth hurts!Lay off the acid.
They're the players we have developed for when injuries occur. Developing players is how most clubs get depth. Believe it or not they aren't born with NRL experience.Who the hell are those nobodies on your bench?
