I thought we did set up for field goal and Kenny decided to pass it to Martin instead. Unless the field goal was only for a decoy to the crash play. Cleary looked ready a couple times and we never gave him the ball.

It was a much better effort than last week. Though we still switched off to concede a soft try assuming a tackle was made. Poor decision making has been our defensive weakness rather than having weaknesses in our defensive line

I'll go on the record to say that I thought Garner had a pretty good game for us. Still a touch concerning that he only seems to last 55-60 mins though, hopefully as he gains more match fitness he can add another 5-10. Having Salmon play Edge backrow for any decent length of time is a little worrisome.

As everyone has seen, the forced change with the Mitch Kenny HIA should have made it abundantly clear to the coaching staff that Luke makes a huge difference to our attack.

One big concern though is even when completely and utterly dominating every stat category that we aren't putting on more points. Souths nearly stole that game from us and they had no right too. We really should have been 3-4 tries ahead.

I also wish that Marto would just settle a little with his brain explosions. He seemed to have put them away playing for Australia but they are back with the Panthers. I thought it was a very interesting touch shifting him over to the left edge when Garner came off.

Overall, happy with the win.

I actually thought Kenny improved a lot tonight too.. sure he has a lot to work on and he's never going to be a game breaker but he offers his perks for the opening 15- 20mins. He really is a workhorse.

If Ivan can get the game time right between him and Luke, and the team learns to adjust the structure a bit when Luke comes on than it could be effective.

I’m confused, I thought if the arm carrying the ball comes into contact with the ground during a tackle in which the defender has hold of the attacking player doesn’t that prevent you from passing? There must be a reason why it was not looked at further and ultimately a try being awarded.

I think overall tho they got the rub of the green.

It was a definite 40/20 and the luai one that they challenged should've been over ruled. He didn't touch the ball at all. Was just shocking ball security. If that was any other panthers player I reckon we win that but Jerome doesn't exactly have a good wrap with the ref's.

I haven't had a chance to see it again but that ball went back so not so black and white.

At the game which takes the TV pictures they kept showing the offload. That would say the producer thinks it is close to continue to show it.
