Interesting how they're coming clean about it now. Makes me think he's OK. Otherwise it wouldn't be talked about. Releasing pics of him in a medi-vest too. The Raiders will have a go at him, hopefully he's up to it.

It is the problem with open training sessions can't hide stuff like that. Teams target him anyway. I noticed Hetherington in the non contact bib too

Nathan Cleary interviewed on Fox, talked about how he hasn't seen Maloney have a better training session than the one yesterday. he also talks about how he doesn't understand where all the "Cleary to join dad" stuff has come from, and he said that he just owes the panthers this year and wants to focus on footy, which we've already hear him say

It is a shame he has to keep repeating himself

I felt very comfortable, going by that interview. Just the way he spoke indicates to me he doesn't want to leave.

Me neither.
Like I mentioned before, there would be no logical reason why he would leave. He and his father need not be motivated by money alone. And I think the Cleary family have better character than to spit the dummy because of his Dad's sacking from the Panthers.

Here at Penrith, there a lot of unfinished business to deal with, and not only for Nathan, but for the entire squad.

IF there is one reason why Cleary would leave us for 2020,and that is if we won this or next year's GF...or maybe both.:)

Good news on Maloney.

This is the NRL media. Dumb as rocks and can't come up with anything better to talk about even though there's heaps of positive stories out there about the game.

Me neither.

Well Ivan said "Nathan loves the Panthers and is very loyal" or words to that effect. His mates are all here and Ivan might very well advise he stays at Penrith due to the Tigers being in a rebuild(just a possible theory. Made up on the spot lol)

But Nathan is definitely leaving one day. We know this because fans say it's so and Gus has said he thinks it's inevitable he leaves to work with his dad. Fact is everything is speculation and Nathan is undecided on his future. But he shouldn't even need to think about it yet. He is wanting to focus on us snd the media have been focusing on his future ever since Ivan joined the Tigers.

Personally I think if he stays now it's unlikely he leaves ever... add 4 years to his existing deal and his next contract wont start for 5+ years. What are the chances Ivan is still coaching Tigers in 5 years? I would say it's unlikely. Based purely on Tigers history with coaches.

“I owe the panthers this year” sounds really promising.

If that’s what he said, I didn’t see it.

Well that's it. We want him focusing on this year and winning the prem.

Gus has also said it is inevitable that he (Gus) will leave the Panthers one day. So Gus could leave, Ivan could return and Nathan could stay. Rugby League is a funny game.

I get the feeling Gus will feel the job is finished once he gets a premiership. If he did it in 2014 then that would have been the end of it.

Looking forward to seeing RCG return this weekend.

Only just occurred to me last night we have lost 4 from 6 since he has been out (Mentioned on the footy show). He could be the the big difference.

He has been a huge loss for us. But I am not going to expect to much from him this week, the doctors have had him binging on fast food to get back up to his playing weight, his fitness will be well down.

I need doctors like that.

My only concern is him changing his style of play. If he runs softly trying to find gaps rather than charging at whoever gets in his way he will just be turning into Tamou.

He'll absolutely start out like that. Just hope it doesn't stick like it did with Woods.

If RCG changes his madman style im not sure he'd offer value for money. Hopefully he is smart enough to know what he is

I don't see RCG changing his style. Tamou just never had the madman genes, he was always pretty docile.

Good point, but it may also include the CEO leaving if Cleary came back.
