Our older players are currently our worst performers. Our side is also stacked with Internationals and Origin players. The need for old heads is being extremely overstated

The likes of JFH, Hetherington and Kikau put the likes of Tamou and Merrin to shame with the intent they put in to everything they do.

Every run and tackle looks like they're trying to hurt people. Which is something I believe RCG has inspired. The young guys seem more easily inspired by things like that. Then you have Yeo who is just about our best and most reliable player. You could never question his effort.

Yeo and RCG are terrific forward leaders for our young guys to be inspired by. I wish our older guys would put that sort of passion into their efforts aswell.

^exactly. Yeo and RCG are the experienced forwards we need now, for the money they are on Tamou and Merrin just aren’t good value at all. When RCG and Yeo were young it was worth it, now it’s not. Time to move on.

Our forward pack is a unit who has won 80% of the battles this year. They work together well. Merrin & Tamou are part of that unit & do their job admirably without being spectacular. If they weren’t playing the others wouldn’t be as effective, especially someone like JFH & RCG.

I think Tamou especially has been really good over the last couple of months. It’s just unfortunate he seems to have an error a game in him which most of his detractors can harp on about for the next week.

He offloaded to no one in the second half and turned it over but tbh I didn't really notice him after that, I wasn't impressed with much that happened last week so I could be judging him harshly.

Interesting how they're coming clean about it now. Makes me think he's OK. Otherwise it wouldn't be talked about. Releasing pics of him in a medi-vest too. The Raiders will have a go at him, hopefully he's up to it.
