Thats fine but if he is a passenger I don't see the point in him playing. Combinations are very important but they aren't any good if he isn't fit enough to play his part.

Season 100% over if his injuries get worse.

We can't win the competition if he sulks due to wanting to play and not being allowed too though. Just ask Sharks fans how much he put in last year when not focused. Some players it is a fine line he is one

He's playing as bad as he did last year due to his fitness. We don't lose anything if he gets hooked for being a sook.

If he comes back and plays bad drop him.

That is a good theory early on but say he has a 3 week injury... That would mean dropping him on the last round. That is the sort of man management things coaches deal with. Time tells if they handle it well or not

Maloney should understand he is needed for finals. No reason to complain and dropping him would be worst case scenario obviously.

If we're scared about upsetting Maloney and having him refuse to put in if we rest him then we might aswell offload him now. What sort of leadership is he providing if that's the case?

I dont think he would do that though. He did it last year over being undervalued by Sharks. He was on shit money compared to halves everywhere. But he's well compensated here and he would surely understand we were protecting our investment and our season by doing so.

He's here to win a comp.

Exactly. If he sooked hed be on the level that people here see Moylan. He'd enjoy watching us make the 8 while chilling with all the spare money the club is giving him while having a little unscheduled annual leave. Gets fresh comes back and wins a prem he's loving life.

I mean we are running out of weeks to get players fit and get combinations going.

I am of the belief that anyone provided they can't get worse should play. The way Gus worded it was he will be ok in a few weeks regardless.

Same with CHN. When top 4 becomes no option then rest guys

Just finished watching. The way Gus worded things you'd also think there was a problem with the coach.

Many players are managing injuries at this time of the season. I remember being told that Gower in 2003 had a chest issue and was being 'needled up' before each game. Injection into the chest wall. So if we rested all those carrying injurys the under 12's would be playing.

It's all about rehabbing and managing the injury whilst playing.

Gower had a sternum injury throughout most of 2003. He needed to be needled up pre game.
I have heard a few times from his former team-mates how impressed they were with his toughness to play through the pain. The sight of him getting a needle rammed into his chest pre game was also inspiring to them to push a little harder through their pain to get the job done.
We are 3/4 of the way through the season I doubt there are may players playing now that aren't carrying an injury or niggle.

He also said 9 times this year we have fielded the youngest side in the comp.

maybe he was too blame for the inexperience. I got from it he was waiting to see how it played out which is the responsible thing to do.

Many on here commented on lack of experience in the squad pre season. So Atleast he is realising that side of it too

Exactly that goes across the comp. Latrell Mitchell has a sternum injury and had 2 great games. So it can work or blow up in your face
