Since we have picked out 'best available' roster. I'm not giving Maloney a pass for being injured. If we are picking him. He needs to perform. Simple as that.

You cant pick players you know are carrying injuries and use those injuries as an excuse for poor form. If a player isnt capable of playing at or near his best, then he shouldn't be playing at all.

Unless the injury happens during the game or if we don't have a fit alternative in our roster available. In both cases that's best for the team. Playing busted and performing like shit while fit alternatives are available is not best for the team.

Gower had a sternum injury throughout most of 2003. He needed to be needled up pre game.
I have heard a few times from his former team-mates how impressed they were with his toughness to play through the pain. The sight of him getting a needle rammed into his chest pre game was also inspiring to them to push a little harder through their pain to get the job done.
We are 3/4 of the way through the season I doubt there are may players playing now that aren't carrying an injury or niggle.

There aren't well said.

Team looks great, the bench looks great, let’s just hope they can actually play great!

I am still a bit sceptical about peachy to fullback despite a great game but I guess if he and the team can improve each week before the finals we will be in great shape.
