Yes one more win and we finish on 26 points with 12 wins / 12 losses 50%
That is the reality of our season. Terrible F & A
Nothing to celebrate - but higher than we have been in 4 years
Amazing to think when we were one of the spoon favs
Most on here expected us to not make the 8
Summary -
we got a ways to go to be Top 8 competetive WIWO
But not the wrist slitting year some make it out to be either
Wow some people seem very easily pleased. This has been a terrible year, equal with any of the worst of the McGregor years despite a few more wins against the bottom sides. Unbelievably boring and inept style of football and paper thin defence. A game plan a decade out of date. Same coach and similar roster next year. Anyone who thinks we improve next year or leapfrog any team above us is as delusional as Griffin. There’s plenty to be slashing wrists about.

Agree
No improvement this year to last , no real improvement thru the year like good teams do
No significant signings and losing SuA who I think is a good player
If we have the same shit coach then we will be same or worse next year
Turpin and Liddle are no solutions , they are absolute rejects with so many flaws its not funny
Clearly a number of the team cannot stand him

Hope Hook doesn't read this. He will use it to save his job !

Saints only look good at 10th because the teams below are so poor. And Saints struggled to beat last placed tigers. They should not have won that game. People that look at the table and say Saints had a better season than expected must be watching something different to other fans as the team has been playing terrible football, selections are shocking with clear favoritism shown to Qlders and old has-beens ahead of promising juniors as well as players looking to leave. There is also no backbone to go up against the poor officiating against Saints as they are getting the rough end of the stick. The coach should be blowing up each press conference not looking like he missed the game and just saw the score at the end. Seriously some of the comments look as if he did not watch the game and just got told last minute what the score was. A proper coach would be showing examples of Storm tackles and compare then to ones Saints get pinned on every week and asking for a please explain not just accepting that we are the most ill disciplined team in the NRL. Olam v Rava was a prime example and should have been done last year.

Maybe not but the Board is going to have to eat humble pie, admit that extending Hook was the wrong option and in the next few weeks bring in a new coaching partnership that unites the players and attracts quality recruits. My preference is Flanno and Hannay and/or Sowie but admit that there are no guarantees with whoever we appoint- but to start next season with Hook and then sack him (as we did with Mary) is merely wasting valuable time and proves the Board has learnt nothing from its many mistakes.
If you expect our board to eat humble pie you’re dreaming 😁

I like what you say redandwhite4evr but the board couldn’t care less about the fans or the club, only their self interests.

I hope the Broncos thrash us if it means the end of Hook!

If the BOD don’t act on the boring inept performance of 2022 under his reign, then the spoon surely awaits 2023.
Why do other struggling clubs make changes & buy quality players to improve them.
We go the easiest & cheapest option.

Maybe you should both ask @redandwhite4evr

I only responded to how I interpreted the comment. I could be wrong in my interpretation
You're correct Danny T- my second post was based on the assumption that Ben Woolf was coming as an assistant to HC Hook. My apologies if my original post was unclear but I was proposing Flanno for HC and Hannay and/or Sowie Assistants.

If that's the case, we have two choices- suffer in silence or let others know that we as dyed in the wool supporters aren't going to cop it. Ultimately, SGI is a business and without paying supporters, the business fails.

How I read it too. Which prompted me to ask if you thought Ben Woolf should be sacked as assistant coach before he even got here, seeing how he is already signed for 2023.
