Round 25 - our last game of pain

I'll watch the game on TV out of habit but won't go to watch it and can't wait for the season to end really. The Tigers win was among the worst wins I have seen in my many years of following Saints. Moga is the slowest Saints winger I can remember (and I can remember Hassan Saleh). Frankly, it's been another wasted year with no real prospect of ever matching the elite sides and no sign that we are building towards it by playing the juniors. The good news is that there are so many of us that still care and want better for the place and a lot can happen over the off season. I'm predicting that Hunt will re-sign as our hooker and if he does that we look a different team next year with Sullivan and Amone together getting decent service from dummy half.

I know how you feel and I get really frustrated and over it quite often myself but it gets you nowhere really. Better to concentrate on the positives I guess. We've moaned and lamented the slow progress with the juniors but considering the covid disruptions and injury we haven't done too bad. Amone, Ramsey and Matt Feagai have been given every opportunity to play and have had a good year all things considered and only injury has slowed the progress of Max Feagai and Bud - who have both been given a shot when fit. As for Sloan, it's become apparent he's a work in progress and maybe his relegation to reserves has been justified and necessary. Our starting forwards, JDB, Lawrie, Sims, Su'a, FMolo have held their own quite often and only been let down by our bench forwards and McCullough.
We also lost our two wrecking balls Suli and Ravalawa and others for long periods, we'll have them back on board next year. Lot of positives there.
We need a hooker and some good forwards but no point dwelling on that for now, just wait to see who we sign or not.

After the media sucking their dicks over the young broncos all year and how all of a sudden thinking Kevvy Walters can actually coach, it would give me so much satisfaction to knock the pretenders out and stick it to the bronco loving media.
Broncos wont make it anyway win or draw.. unless Tigers beat Raiders which I very much doubt

Definitely going to Kogarah. Nothing to lose, and a chance to belt Brisbane.
There's still a team to support and last home game of the year... and did I mention it's Kogarah!?

As for some of the posts in this thread... ah well, y'know.
Couldn’t agree more, a chance for redemption and hope for the future by smashing the Broncos at home. Wouldn’t miss this one.

Meh. We finish 10th irrespective of the result
So only benefit is another NRL game for the kids. Sloan winger, Feagai centre, Bud , Amone & Hunt. Can Ford put two good games together ? Hope they have a red hot go and are let to play instinctive football ( just like the 2018 semi ) , but I doubt it. The only negative for me is a win could help the mantra that " Griffin's side certainly finished the last part of the season in a positive fashion "

I'll certainly be there. If they play well with those young guys in the team, or even better beat the donkeys, then it will be obvious that hook got it wrong for most of the year. Unfortunately, "obvious" doesn't appear to matter so much to the BOD.

So you can launch them at the TV screen and really make a point when a saints player makes a bone head play (which is bound to happen)…I’m there!
RSL after the game. However, you would definitely throw the schooner glass at the TV if you're watching a replay because the same player would appear to do the same bone-headed play twice.
