With Kite and Simmons returning in the next fortnight our NSW Cup team is going to be very strong regardless of who Ivan picks in First Grade.
Big forwards battle next week.
I like both players. I love Kingston, he is awesome. But sentiment will not help when George and Sam wind up and start delivering 200m games as forwards and Sam and Tim are lucky to run 80 in their current form. We are just too light when we have Manu, Sam and Tim off the park. Sam and GI would be licking their lips for when the interchange happens. That said, if you match their go forward GI often goes into his shell and the Bunnies don't have much else in attack.Brown is one tough mongrel. He had a good game yesterday. Likewise Kingston did a mountain of defence. I would not drop either of them and I don't think Cleary will either.
He surprised me. He really had a red hot go at taking the ball up when we struggled, he showed a lot of heart. He often got the ball flat footed (I don't think stamina is his strongest point) but he just dragged three players 10 metres anyway. I thought it showed that he is feeling part of the team already because he wanted to do his bit. His defence is also much better than I thought. He has the wingspan of an albatross and sometimes I thought a player was outside him and then woosh, his inspector gadget arms reeled them in. He is a strong mofo too. If he gets hold of you, you ain't going anywhere.Pomoz. I agree we are missing Masoe big time as expected. Cherrington is on the bench in NSW Cup but can do that role.
The problem is our best forward in NSW Cup is Anderson. Not that big though always breaks the 1st tackle. That would still work as would Peachey's speed & footwork.
Our bench last night had nothing special so lacked that impact. What we did well was use Idris as an extra forward.
Interesting idea. Mansour couldn't catch a cold in a Monday morning doctor's surgery. He has terrible hands and is not the quickest winger. He has a massive ticker and makes plenty of yards and does plenty of work. Eto might be a better option as a winger.Yeah he's great in defence so big hard to stop when we get him one on one with the opposing centre he will be impossible to stop.
Not Sure we have the best winger to go with his style. Need speed & someone mobile. There's was trouble everytime Canberra kicked to that side.
Still think Mansour should be off the bench in the pack certainly would fix the lack of punch. Nabuli or Naiqama can finish off the play & defuse kicks much better then Mansour.
Settle down, its just a discussion. Would Mansour be better elsewhere? He isn't agile or quick, but he makes good yards. Building a good team is about getting the best out of the available players. It is a good idea to think about who plays in what position. Another winger may not have delivered the yards but may have caught the two passes from Idris and then scored, reducing the pressure for the team. McQueen at Souths started out as a winger, he got picked for SOO as a second rower. Were the South's Merkins wrong to move him?Lol Do merkins really want Mansour off the wing???? Any other club would love a Hard working winger like him, Only Penrith fans. Jesus f**king christ.
You merkins ever happy??

So you resort to name calling because someone has a different view to you? I think its a great idea to get Mansour in the forwards were he could produce those powerful runs once or twice a set which would give someone with more speed and who scored 29 tries last year an opportunity on the wing.
hes clearly abt 12 yrs old - with the merkin rubbish
LOL
