I find it interesting that some posters on here are VERY quick to condemn player behaviour when the player has left the Panthers, but if they stay, we all need to move on...

It's irrelevant anyway - When was the last NRL game you saw May in? He hasn't played in f**king ages and yet he's going to make our team better? He wasn't even THAT good in the first place, now with so long away from playing, he is some f**king world beater? No, he's not.

Yep I'll put my hand up for that. (perhaps it would have been easier to just name me) LOL The bloke has been punished by the courts and done his time.

I've explained my viewpoint on this numerous times, so I'm not going there again.

I've never said that was a 'world beater' the best I've ever said was that he had talent.

Whether this translates to a wonderful NRL I have no idea.

He has talent, he looked pretty good in the trials. Like i said i have no sympathy but there are players who have done worse things that Tyrone on the books.

A little part of me thinks that he was living with Nathan at the time and there was someone else in those videos and Tyrone kept his mouth shut about who that was....maybe the Clearys feel a little indebted toward Tyrone, just maybe. I hope he actually has to earn his spot the same as every other player.

So much this. It's even worse with no reserve grade to come back into form.

It may have been easier, but I'm feeling nice today :)

Sure, there's talent there, he wouldn't have made it as far as he has without it. But, in my opinion, it's not enough just to waltz into the team when there are better (in my opinion) players available (i.e. Burton).

Hmmmm I never thought of that... you might be on to something there.

Oath! Especially now with Burton’s star on the rise. May will have to get in line. He certainly doesn’t deserve to leap frog Burton into the 14 jersey

I also want to clarify as a May defender that I dont want him to waltz back in either. If he earns a spot through hard work then happy days. If he doesnt get a run because others are performing better than him I'm good with that too. I just want the team on the field each week that gives us the best chance of winning.

What a load of twaddle. All because I don't agree with your viewpoint.

Someone suggested once I should 'toughin up'

I'm passing those thoughts on to you.
As I have said before, and I will say it again. I know people who are victims of this crime. Your view point would be different if you know someone who this has happened to. Do not bother responding.

Also, I am tough enough.

A victim of that crime, under those circumstances, no I wouldn’t be outraged.
Compared to others who have committed the same crime, as a 1st offender, May has received the largest penalty I’ve ever heard of.

Please show me an offender who has received more from the court + his employer + the general public.
What punishment did his employer give him? An extension?

I will respond because you know nothing about me and my circumstances (except of course what I chose to disclose here)

Your comments about my viewpoint are fascinating (to say the least). A close family member was a victim recently of sexual assault. I don't know the exact circumstances, as she chose not to tell family members the details.

In this case the sex was consenual. (this was stated in the court case)

I have my own viewpoint which I have shared in this thread.

I don't believe I've demanded that you have to agree with me.

All I have said and i will say it again (sigh) I believe he has served his time and should be available for selection.

Panthers have drifted to $1.80 in recent days. We haven't lost anyone, can only be weight of money. It will be good to see fools and their money parted once again.

Best post ever on this subject.

You want footballers to be subject to three layers of penalty rather than the current two? Clearly Panthers considered no further action necessary.
Where did i say that? I just said we gave him an extension which is hardly a punishment from us unless he really hates it here.

But why wouldhe? He gets suspended on his suspension and then gets rewarded with an extension.

Any other club sacks him the moment he pleads guilty.

Given MX was replying to a post that indicated there was a punishment from the club, I don't think he was saying anything close to what you've written...
