Losing players during a game is tougher than losing them a week or so before the game imo.

Especially 3 players. It is natural for all the others to not go as hard for fear of also getting injured and quickly reducing the team to 13 or less.

I agree with that. However Yeo and Bateman went off at similar times. We still lost the first half.

Kikau and MWZ didn't get injured until after the 50th minute.

Just watched a youtube video on a young st marys winger/fullback called allan fitzgibbon he played wing for penrith in canterbury cup very impressive 8min highlights reel has great speed is exactly what we need in 1st grade.

He's got a famous name on him, if nothing else. Anyone know if he's related to Allan and Craig Fitzgibbon?

Mansour got the ball down and they overturned it based on an angle 70 metres away from ground height.

Thankfully that shitty origin half can kick a ball pretty well.

Lower grades have some real speed. For some reason under Gus these players didn't see the top grade. Hopefully that chances with the retention group

You guys should sign Bevan. Would be cheap and he would add some flare to the side. He is killing NSW cup and will suit this side. He needs his chance and I hope it is with the Panthers.

DWZ and Mansour give strong Carrie's and suit the wing position
Blake and Whare are good enough for centre.
Fullback needs to be fixed and maybe another forward. The rest will roll. Halves been rubbish but playing off the back of poor go forward in most games.

In NSW Cup yesterday for example Naden, Tuisese, Fitzgibbon all quicker than the current backs outside of Blake. McGrady hurt and Flegg has 3 or 4 the same.

We have a couple of spots. That is the sort of player on the wing we need. Lets hope before June 30 they are looking there

This is mostly on Gus. Whenever I questioned my inside source on why Sivo wasn't getting a go the answer was; Not ready yet, getting caught out of position in defence.

Personally I thought it was madness to re-sign Mansour with Sivo waiting. My Eel's mates are giving me so much stick about this. I just knew this decision would bite us on the arse.

I am not that upset that Gus is gone because he has made some very questionable recruitment and retention decisions mostly poor in my opinion, however what we have done in giving him the punt is replace him with WORSE.

I agree with that he was very raw but so was most of the guys we signed. I would of played him over Crichton and Phillips even last year.

Too soon to say what is now is worse. All they have done so far is the coach even he will go ok if we fix the roster

Mansour isn't fit. He has a stuffed shoulder he shouldn't be playing is why I'd play Too. look at our top squad and development squad even. Too is the only one there so in that case has to be him if an injured Mansour misses out

I like a ball playing fullback which DWZ isn't. I noticed Edwards had a couple of try assists yesterday more of that and he'd be my pick over Aekins. I like DWZ as a centre. Tall, Decent enough speed give him early ball with a fast winger outside him could be much better.

well why is the coach picking him if rookies are even better than him? I thought the advantage with Mansour was what he brings that a rookie can't
