Is kikau out?

I'd be interested to see ivans game plan if he is.

He'll need something else apart from pass it to kikau.

No scan results have come through on Kikau but it didn't look good.

Luai will go to the line, he just needs runners with him.

well why is the coach picking him if rookies are even better than him? I thought the advantage with Mansour was what he brings that a rookie can't
Because we're stuck picking from a limited squad.

If Brian Too were an option you pick him in a heartbeat. I dont care why Mansour is playing shit. Only that he is playing shit and has been below average for 12+ months now.

We have better players who arent an option. Thats not Ivans fault. Thats the reality of the top 30 Gus built for us.

Ivan has failed spectacularly so far. But he was also kind of setup to fail. This top 30 is weak as f**k and oyr finals hopes ride on our best ~13 players being fit and in form.

Ivan has to cop some blame for not seeing our flaws until it was too late. But I dont see how we can fix them this season

We have had a top 29 since May was charged. Top 28 since Phillips went not having options is a cop out but we aren't really only one player down in form. There is 2 players playing consistently that isn't roster issues it is coaching issues whether it be poor tactics. or poor fitness or just poor selection

Youre right. Our roster has no issues at all. Its all Ivans fault.

Well explain to me how Manly and Sharks both have reduced rosters due to cap cheating. Have heaps of injuries and are running 6th and 7th? Same with the Tigers in 9th for that matter.

Like I said teams with far less are using it better

Youve explained it yourself. We're playing with a top 28 for a start. Not Ivans fault May has been suspended or that Phillips has left. Gus was in charge of our cap until recently. And most these issues happened under Hiok.

Everyone of our top 14 or 15 players is overpaid... but worse then that is a third of them aren't NRL quality or close to it.

You could blame Ivan for the injuries that have reduced the effectiveness of Edwards, Mansour, Whare and RCG if you want. Which you clearly do want to.

Im not saying Ivan doesnt have his flaws. He does. But blaming everything on one man who wasnt even at the club for a lot of our issues is ridiculous. We would've been better off with Bennett for sure. But we wouldnt be a premiership threat with the roster we have. Too many of them have been held back by injuries.

Tigers last year were doing far better under Ivan than they are this year with Maguire. If he was the only issue that wouldn't be the case.

"Far better"? They aren't going that great but that's a big call.

We were definitely going "far better" under Griffin after 8 rounds. I was one of his biggest critics on here too.

How much would Phillips and May been on $400k?

Manly are $660k under the cap due to cap breaches

Have out DCE, Walker, Taufua, Tom Tbojevic out what is that maybe $3m under the cap out?

Yet they are running 6th. Compare that to our minor injuries before now. So yep a well coached team can overcome roster holes

RCG has a problem with his thumb and is being sent for scans.
Still waiting to hear on Kikua and Tamou.
Very concerned for Kikau.

2 wins against Storm inside opening 5 rounds.

We were far better last year under Hook. So was our roster though.

We had Wallace, Peachey, Merrin, CHN, Chrichton, May etc. In those rounds. Edwards eas terrific before his injury also.

This year has kicked off the same as 2017 though... and our roster was much better in 2017 under Hook also.

Although we arent getting win #3 until Kikau is back.

Maloney and Martin both entered not guilty pleas and will fight the charges.

Cant see both getting off... someone needs to be responsible for that Hodgson tackle.

So essentially you are saying Cleary and Hook are both horrible coaches, we just haven't worked out which one is worse yet?

Maguire is also.outside of Bennett or Bellamy I doubt this roster wins more than 50% of their games under any coach.

Without Kikau we arent winning any at all

The main point is we’re better than just two wins, the coach isn’t getting the most out of the squad he’s got.

This is the best first year squad Cleary has ever had in his coaching career, he’s failing miserably.

Like many said, we should’ve done a proper search for a coach. If we lost Nathan then so be it.

It is the individual improvement under Cleary that is concerning too.

Tamou and Fish have shown improvement and consistency. The rest haven't really improved at all from where they were at last year.

Cleary just can’t coach attack. Very similar to Hook in this regard.

We can dominate field position and then we can’t execute.

I’d be moving heaven and earth to get Peachey back. We need an X factor.
