Also, if the game really is true to life, when you coach as Nathan brown is there a button combo you can mash to slap players in the face?

That would be awesome. Finally having a Rugby League game that comes out at the start of the season rather than after it.

One thing the last few games have lacked is creating custom competitions. The first RL game I made a new NRL with 20 teams and edited the squads to spread the talent out. I made RU players and brought over ESL players and mixed them into the squads. This kept me playing the game for ages.

wouldn't it make sense to pick and edit your team; then search for an opponent?

I'm talking about when you're playing a private match with a friend you've invited. Myself and my mate play on the same team during career mode for example, so it would be awesome if we both had input in how our team is laid out.

It's weird, the players on the field look to have a much lower poly count than should be expected in this day and age, but I think the textures look a lot better. What's even weirder is that the players look fantastic in the fan hub, and I assume it uses the same models in both for the players...

Hopefully it looks better in motion than in screenshots. Most screenshots for big budget games pre-release are photoshopped to hell, I can't imagine Tru Blu have done the same with these. If they have, they've done a shoddy job.

Still, I'll be buying this. Control over the action replays is a big game changer for me, there were so many times in RLL2 and the older Rugby League titles where I would want to watch/save a replay. Enhanced career mode + be a pro is awesome too. Hopefully the continue to work on and enhance the on-field gameplay too... I'm not expecting the world there, but I definitely expect them to continue to refine the gameplay game to game.

PC release is mega sweet, too.

(I mean 2 or 3 human controllers on the same team versing 2 or 3 other human controllers on the other team).
