Before you mention the cricket game, I did state 'generally been considered crap'.

Meta critic reviews show an average rating of 6 for RLL2 and we'll I'm certain you guys know that RLL1 was the equivalent of E.T on atari.

I really enjoyed RLL2 but I have to agree that what Sharknado wrote doesn't justify calling him an idiot......especially from a representative of Big Ant. Seems a bit weird.

FWIW I agree that the game felt easier after the first patch. But I also felt there was a good amount of improvement in the gameplay.

Sounds like the truth! ;)

Anyway, new update pushed tonight for the FanHub. Unlocks the Jersey creator for Clubs, can do quite a lot with it already and there's plenty more to come! Get creating. :D

Prove it!!
I say you dont have the guts to play the pre-patched game...then patch it & play again.
Fan boi's that live shoulder deep in Ross's a$$.

This is a quote from Ross when I originally complained about their nerfing for the likes of HBK619

We need to balance the AI for all of the population. Perhaps play against a human being and see how you go?

Add http before the above line. Under 20 posts cant post links.

The fan bois like to lube up & take anything dished up, I hope that my legitimate complaints are heard & fixed with the next edition so EVERYONE benefits.

how about you go and make a game. One person isn't going to be heard mate. I think big ant have done a decent job so far and are steadily improving. It took a while for EA to perfect (which it isn't even perfected) FIFA

He should go try making his own game because he has a legitimate issue with this game? Why don't we all go make our own games then, because there is no way we all have no issues with any of the games we play.

Your job is to develop a game that customers desire. No one is forcing you to implement the feedback, but to call him an idiot. ..it would make an awesome write up post game release once most of us have returned the game.
I find it hard to take a comment like this if you look at BigAnt's track record. BigAnt have always interacted with the community and always taken feedback. Significant portions of all the games made by BigAnt have had user feedback implemented, some things within days (we have just put in two fan created jersey's from the BigAnt Forums in FanHub).

But we're not going take on the opinion of someone who wants to use the term "What steaming pile of updates did Bigant defecate onto my PS3?" because that's just not the way you go about getting things done. You want to give feedback in a constructive and not overly aggressive way and we're always open to listening.

I haven't been around for all of BigAnt's games. The only release I have been around for with BigAnt is Don Bradman Cricket 14 and even then I was only on it for around 6 months of development (From September 2013 to now) - I was at the Studio for about a month towards the end of RLL2 World Cup Edition but only had about half a day on that (although I got credited in the game :D).

I am on this site, and many others to garner fan feedback. But I will not be listening to someone who wants to talk like that. As I said, that's simply not the way to go about things.

We had to lower difficulties on DBC14 post release (due to fan feedback saying the game was too hard on 'X' difficulty), but didn't lower how all difficulties played. So again, we listen to fan feedback but do have to work on a majority basing. I don't see the hardest difficulty ever getting easier from our point of view unless it's broken though, for Rugby League Live 3.

I had a look at that like by Sharknado and noticed one of the points was:

Players still get picked up by defenders when diving for a try.

Well......

That'd be all well and good if they went to the trouble of getting a few animations like that in the game, but as it is in RLL2, you go from diving for a try to being chucked into some animation that's practically impossible to end up in from a dive.

And that has happened once in recent memory, a freak situation that isn't normal at all. By that logic you should see a referee tear a hamstring and the video ref run down to take over (and before the clowns get involved and say how much they'd love that - I don't actually want that in the game, it's just an example of a freak thing that has happened once).

Your level of enjoyment from a video game is a pretty subjective thing and I enjoyed the game, so I call bullshit on your imaginary 'objective' call.

I guess what it comes down to is do you want a rugby league game at all? If you do, then you have to be a little realistic about what you expect, because the League market is just no where near large enough to justify anything remotely close to the investment a Madden game would receive.

That's not the point. If you're asking me if I would rather they make a Rugby League game that is at least FUNCTIONAL without breaking or doing something absurd every 5 minutes or not at all, then I would choose not at all if they can't even get it to work properly.

At least then I don't have to spend 60 bucks to see if they succeeded.

I just wanted to show off Matt Cooper. We haven't got much to look forward to at the moment so can you please just let me have that?

Why can people not take criticism of a League game well? We aren't asking for perfection, just something that isn't bad.

go to the first few pages of this thread, or even read my first post in here. There has been plenty of 'constructive criticism' in here. Its simmered down to petty undescriptive comments about how shit the game is.

we f**king get it, you hate the game.

I agree with Someone to an extent. The people who bag this game mercilessly for pages upon pages get a bit tedious.

I found a way to enjoy RLL2, I guess part of that was just blocking out the annoyances and learning to enjoy the game for what it was. If RLL3 can fix things like the constant intercepts whilst improving the functionality and options available in the career/franchise mode - it'll be another winner for me.

Last Rugby League game I played was on PS2 the world cup edition (not RLL2)
So havn't played any of the 'live' tittles.

However, what I'd love to see;
A much improved player signing system (it may have been improved in RLL or RLL2)
including the option to take over a players contract if the club agrees to it, ala the Warriors releasing Bukuya and Mateo before their contracts are over. An example would be a team with no fullbacks asking for Nathan Gardner as they already have Gordon and Holmes. Only realistic releases though, say if a club has excess players for a certain position, or they lose form in the season etc.

More realistic representative selections (again, comparing it back to Rugby League on the PS2)

I'd like to see the interchange become a bigger deal (again, I cant comment on how it was like in the previous RLLs)

A free roster package ala FIFA does the latest squads, RLL should do the same upto the year of the newest RLL game. FIFA lets you download latest squads, but it only covers that year, so you cant run FIFA13 for example and still be downloading squads past the release of 14.

Not for RLL3, but perhaps the next one, maybe they could look at incorporating a 9's competition, enforcing rules of x amount of first grade squad, but you can mix the rest with your reserve and juniors. That'd be mint! Probably asking too much there

Just what I'd like to see, i'm quite keen to pick up RLL2 but I might just wait it out till RLL3

It's not a lot to ask for really to fix the game to be quite amazing and have copious replay capability - improve general play kicking controls and dynamics; fix field goal dynamics; and make speeds realistic -- Aaron Woods outrunning the likes of Michael Gordon, whilst funny as the player, just make you scratch your head.
