MG and Matty Johns this morning talking about the epidemic of prescription use drugs in the NRL and how players are walking the tight rope and that it's just a matter of time before a kid dies. They both say how they know how wide spread this is.

These NRL shock jocks make me sick. If the really knew shit and had any dirt they'd have said something before this. Sick of them bandwagoning and acting as authorities with the inside word.

Yep. I've stopped listening to them. They think they're authorities on league, politics and any other current affairs topic when really they are just dumb ex-footballers. Geyer can't even speak properly - which is kind of important when you are on radio.

Johns' ego is increasing at the same rate that the shirts he wears on his show are getting tighter.

Sooner or later something will have to give.

Exactly. Has Matt Johns EVER broken a story or managed to land a scoop? His so called "inside info" always only ever seems to make it to the public arena after a story or rumour is already out there.... but he'll try to dress it up as his own info by saying things like, "Fella's, what I've been hearing for a while is yada yada yada blah blah blah (regurgitate unfounded News Ltd innuendo)"

Speaking of triple M...

Brian Smith smashed Dan Ginnane on Facebook regarding his inaccurate reporting of the Tim Smith car crash incident...

Triple M have just about lost me..

Yep Cornish is a smart pick up, anything that doesn't leave Kelly as first choice back up is a good thing.

So with the Cornish signing we could potentially see:
1. Norman
2. Semi
3. Taka
4. Gordon
5. Faraimo
6. Foran
7. Cornish

8. Mannah
9. Peats
10. Junior
11. Scott
12. Ma'u
13. Watmough

14. Wicks
15. Moreao
16. Pritchard
17. Gower
18. Pauli
19. Edwards

Gordon is still easily our best option at fullback, why move Norman after a break out year???

As it stands we still have by far the worst backline in the comp.

I agree and I wouldn't necessarily do it if I was BA, however if we don't find a decent replacement for Hoppa and if Cornish finally reaches his potential, Norman may find himself at the back. We could do worse.

That's all I meant.

Yet our winger scored a record number of tries. I think if Taka gets properly fit he's ok.

I like the Taka/Semi combo... there were a number of times this year where Semi went inside and Taka backed him up on the outside for some good results. I heard last night they have a special little lingo between them so they are obviously building a good relationship on and off the field.

I agree, a fully fit Taka would be fine as centre and our left hand edge would remain dangerous.

Like Bevan? See milford is only a year and half older then Bevan. He is smaller but was that good was playing first grade 2.5 years ago....

The fact Bevan people say wont be ready in 2016 says he might not be as good as people make out. I hope i'm wrong....

I've said it before and people laughed, but he still reminds me of Reece Robinson. Time will tell.

Matterson- Goodal are another two who i was lead to believe had the goods. 12 mths later there gone. Funny enough Alvaro and Morgan(love or hate has been better value then Loko/toutai) where never mentioned in the Juniors system as potential first graders.

Alvaro was one of a very few that I picked to make it in the NRL a few years ago. It just took a little longer then I thought. He should just get better from here on in.

Goodal in particular was never a pick for 1st grade by me, to un-involved and to slow.

The only player I see in U20's at present, who is almost a certainty of making it in the NRL, is Alex Twal.

But then again I don't get to see that much of the U20's to make a complete analysis.

You keep saying that but stats don't back you up. We scored 83 tries which was only 2 less than Storm and more than Sharks, Dragons and Bunnies who all made the semis.

Missed tackles is the stat that is telling. Tighten up the ruck and the edges and we win a shit load more.

The '15 season is still yet to be completed, I can't come at the finality that our '16 back line is the worst in the comp....still plenty of time left to wheel and deal.
