I hate the "best pre season ever" talk. It's up there with "we are doing it for the fans" or "we trained really hard this week and you'll see something different". It never works out for us!

I'd prefer them to come out with "I'm not sure the coach understood that the Sydney to Hobart wasn't a swimming event".

The best preseason coaches you respect but really hate their f**king guts

He wasn't even here two seasons. He was here just long enough to be a scapegoat. Signing Sandow turned out to be the death of him.

Agree Pou- Gutherson wont start in our team rnd 1 .He will be behind Gordon-Taka-Semi-Morgan-Falou-Faraimo-Moss. He will start at Wenty and you would think force his way into the team.
Hoppa would make every teams backline-Perhaps not at centre but on the wing.

Cost and potential thou? Gutherson still may be a bust. Hoppa is proven just overpaid.

Hopoate is way, way, way too slow to be a wing or fullback. His only position is centre - and he's not that great at that. I don't think he's anywhere near as good as his old man was.

Yeh, I think 2 years seem ok given that he wasn't done for supply (AFAIK), and he at least put his hands up. I have more problem with people who drive motor vehicles while nearly comatose.

I think he only put one hand up. But maybe that's not important.

Plenty of people hated Sandow (and still do). Those who didn't want us to sign Sandow were no different to the ones who wouldn't want their club to sign a young Ennis, Mason or Blake Ferguson.

Nobody could know that Sandow would show zero improvement under three different coaches over four years. Not you or any other nuffy. I suppose you predicted the decline of Tim Smith as well.

I'd take Sandor. Everyone deserves a second chance. Just ask Wicks and Mau.

Yes. And my recollection of him is that he was more than an average player. similar player to Reece Robinson but more skilful. We wouldn't be paying him much. No gamble for us at all, I don't think.

Every dogs body on here has been critical of our teams speed in 2015 and saw this as an area in dire need of improving. Recent speculation has us addressing this issue. Is BA clued up or is he just reading these posts? Lol.
Good on ya BA and whoever. Was Gutherson offered or chased? Sounds like our recruitment team isnt so bad after all. Another area of concern was the lower grades coaching. Another positive move announced recently. Supporters often critisise and negatively coment as they believe the obvious is not being addressed. Just proving years of damage cant be undone in one or two seasons. Thankfully patience and stability seems to be slowly turning the ship.
Bring on 2016.

Couldn't agree more. I think we're moving in the right direction. Need a centre? Just got one. Need some speed? We're looking at some. (Cheap speed, too. Sandor Earl, I think, is actually faster than Robinson. In any case, he's fast.) Got a specialist fullback. Got two very good halves. A bit of backline depth now. Strengthened the forwards. Why, I'd be surprised if anyone on here could find a single thing to complain about. Bring on 2016.
