What was Manly's set up the last 5 years?

Cherry-Evans the main organiser AND main runner, AND main kicker.
Foran slightly over-rated, but fits perfectly into the mould of the solid, defensive five-eight. Unfortunately for him, Norman is a classic attacking five-eight, so Foran will have to play more of a solid, defensive half role (like Jeff Robson does) - only he'll probably run more effectively than Robson does.

What roles are they? The role where you get the ball whenever you want it and the role where you have to defer to the other half? Or the role where you run the ball versus the role where you just catch and pass?

THAT'S BECAUSE MOST TEAMS HAVE ONLY ONE DOMINANT HALF!!! So of course he will get most of the ball.

You mean most teams only have one halfback (and one five-eight). Remember the lesson I gave you last year? You've forgotten already. Then again, you only started watching football in the nineties, so you wouldn't know a lot about halves and five-eights and how we still have them and things haven't changed all that much.

Settle down fellas. It's far more important that we sign blokes with good names. There's a chance we could promote our dodgy foot outlets by hiring young Kiwi lasses to spout lines like: 'Would you like Sandor gReece with your Takaway? Foran extra dollar I'll give you my Idris'

Surely you can't run and organise at the same time?!?!?? Or can Foran take over organising if Norman decides to have a run? Maybe they could organise each other?

Brad Arthur seems to think Corey Norman is a pretty good organiser. He even goes so far as to say that Corey Norman "steers the team around".

“The boys listen to Corey and get into the field position he wants, and he orchestrates the play from there.
His preparation and his professionalism is a lot better this year, and he knows the game plans inside out.
He has taken on more of a leadership role, he’s organising the team and steering them around."

But what would an NRL coach know that you don't?

So is Norman a halfback or a 'running five-eight'? You need to make up your mind.
