for 55K i think Lowrie would be a bargin tbh. Anderson has added some consistancy to his game, and he is looking like a genuine NRL player TBH

Agree. He`s cut out most of his mistakes. He might even get better next year, you know. He seems to want to be a ball-player. If he continues to keep his mistakes to a minimum, he might end up being a good one.

No thanks, he is nothing more than an average 1st grader.

I think his background is as a five-eight. He would be handy as a five-eight, but I don`t think he`d really be any better than K.Keating.
Prefered position is fullback we have hayne, back up is 6 we have kk. I'd take them over kearney. He is a good player, but wouldn't sign him if i were DA unless he is happy to be a back up player.

well going by the comment of Centre/ESL player here are a list of ESL centres!!!
The following players are listed as starting centres in their clubs profiles on super league site.

BRADFORD BULLS:
Paul Sykes
Chris Nero

CASTELFORD TIGERS:
James Evans
Michael Shenton

CATALANS DRAGONS:
Steve Bell
Adam Mogg

CELTIC CRUSADERS:
Josh Hannay
Mark Dalle Cort

HARLEQUINS RL:
Matt Gafa
David Howell

HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS:
Kevin Brown
Paul Whatuira

HULL FC:
Todd Byrne
Kirk Yeaman

HULL KINGSTON ROVERS:
Chev Walker
Jake Webster

LEEDS RHINOS:
Lee Smith
Keith Senior

SALFORD CITY REDS:
Mark Henry
Willie Talau

ST HELENS:*
Matthew Gidley

WAKEFIELD WILDCATS:
Tony Martin
Ryan Atkins

WARRINGTON WOLVES:*
Matt King

WIGAN WARRIORS:*

* - Wigan, Warrington and St Helens only had one centre listed in the team squad lists.

Out of this list of centres non of the ex-NRL players really look worth the gamble but the only ESL bred players id loo at would be Kirk Yeaman and Lee Smith and maybe Chev Walker.

Whether or not Parra are looking for a centre i dont know!!! but this is a list so people could have a look at what centres are running around in england ATM.

Keith Senior would have been good about five or six years ago.

The best teams in the comp have a few very classy players with avg first graders around them. A team of stars generally has no depth and falls apart in a year or 2. I would take Lowrie for the right price IMO (i.e not 180K)

I would rather give that spot in our squad to Justin Horro. Much bigger, stronger and a more damaging runner then lowire. Also i cant see lowrie taking a $130,000 pay cut lol. He is as good as gone from all reports.

Mate nothing beats experiance, Horo looks good in a comp that Lowrie used to carve up aswell. Lowrie work ethic has improved, his defence is solid, he can run good lines and throw a good pass. I would offer him 55-60K, he can take it or leave it Shakelton was offered 170K and played country/city this year. Lowrie will struggle to find a team to pay anything around 100K

Dell is a similar age and is killing it.

Also, Inu hasn't set the world on fire for two years now.

So...Why would retaining Inu be such a safe bet again?

It`s not a safe bet either way - keeping him or letting him go. He`s 21 and has only had two seasons in first grade (counting injury last year). He`s definitely playing without confidence or is unhappy with things at the moment. He could find his form and turn out to be as brilliant as his potential would suggest. If that`s the case, to let him go would be a bad move.
On the other hand, if we keep him, he may never get any better than he is right now - in which case, we miss an opportunity to sign someone better. That`s why I would give him one more year. That way we have a much better idea of what we are looking at.
The other thing, of course, is that he`s not playing dreadfully at the moment - just not up to the level that we`d like.

You mean like that pass he gave to inu against the Titans? Short side play on the 1st tackle 20m out from the Titans line lol

I'll help him pack his bags and take him to the airport to catch his plane to England. If he is in DA's plans than i will be very suprised.

He is on 180k, we can split that up and give it to 3 other players. Say 70 to kingston, 60 to Horro and 50 to Filiga. I would much rather them 3 guys in our squad then Lowrie.

Ian, Justin was very dissapointing yesterday, he hasn't been setting the world on fire and at that level he should be if he wants to play NRL, if I had to choose between the 2 for a meagre 70K than Lowrie would be a bargain buy for mine..Horo has done nothing and not earnt it, infact his defence was paper thin at times yesterday.

I am also starting to see some good things out for Lowrie.

If he keeps his knock ons to a minimum, for around 80K he would be a great buy.

He is shaping to be like wags.

Well atm we have Hindy, Shack and Mateo in the backrow but no real backups and Lowrie would be good to keep on the books for the right price. He has improved 100 fold since the beginning of the season and you never know what can happen in the future. I would take him for 60-70K without a doubt

I don't see him taking a $100,000 pay cut. Who would?

I would still take the time and effort to work with Horro and think he will be better in the future. Sure he hasn't been playing well in the last few weeks. But lowrie is only playing well now. Took him long enough, im sure we can give horro some more time to.

He could get a bench spot in front of Mitchell or Benny

There are always bound to be injuries too.

Horo started the season well but has shown nowhere near the promise most on here have seen in him. Lowrie on the pther hand has been solid and with a number of new players coming in would be a good back up for them. He has at least played at the top level unlike Horo who is inconsistent at a lower level.

As for taking a $100,000 paycut..... given the number of players off contract in the NRL at present he may not have a choice.

on top of what Colonel has said, you need to also consider that Horo has been training with the fulltime squad and I heard that he even travelled to the Gold Coast last Monday but I can't confirm that, so the club are taking the time and effort to develop his game however he needs to take that on the field for Wenty every week not every second or third week, Lowrie on the other hand has surprisingly been one of our more consistant performers resently and apart from the odd mistake seems to match it with opposition regularly, it appears in here we've become so conditioned to bagging the bloke without any real reason that some people are actually blaming him for every loss, I think everyone acknowledges that he's not a 175K a year player but he is at the very least a top 17 player at the club whether you like it or not.

I don't mind lowrie and remember when he played for knights he had a good season and one particular game he played against us I was kind of excited he was coming to the club
