probably not very well given that wingers tend to get around the line, not go through it. the stats of tonga's that i think are the most relevant to his attack are tackle breaks relative to line breaks. when he was at his peak (unfortunately playing for dogs) he was breaking the line every second tackle break. by comparison, at the time, the next best for guys with heaps of tackle breaks were getting through the line once every 5 or 6 tackle breaks.Tonga aint going so bad, im at work so ive only had a quick look but Tonga is on 4 try assists, here are some of the other centers.
Tonga-4
Lafai-4
Morris-2
Matai-6
Tate-4
Jennings-3
Whare-6
Idris-2
Linnett-0
SKD-3
Hoppa-6
I don't know where he stands compared to other blokes in LBA. Maybe you could show us Pou?
So Semi is going to have to fly the coup sooner than later, he's a big boy now remember?
/QUOTE]
I think he did that when he left Fiji
What about circumcision?
We should only sign players with foreskins and than circumcise them as part of a ritual.
I saw one of the training photos on the official site and Semi looked like he was laughing and joking with Vai Toutai. Maybe they were laughing about something Willie Tonga said?
I'll see if there's any clues in the other photos.
Whare is the best centre in the NRL.Well maybe Lyons would be on par but on form whare is No-1.
Tonga has been good but is also getting decent ball.Morgan last year played in a terrible team.I would like too see how he goes in this side with good ball and better backline movements.
If I was coach I wouldn't drop Tonga on form ( his defense has been great)
This. unless Morgan absolutely kills it then I'd be bringing Tonga right back in when he's ready
I'm worried how Morgan will go defending Whare
