A mate of mine told me last week Salmon and Taafe both signed with the Dogs, wasn’t sure if it was true. Is it a coincidence Salmon has played Reserve Grade last week, now there again?

That's an in-game scenario.

I'm talking about a real back up. Its such an important position. Laurie was excellent for the Tigers when he first got there. Did a stack of work for them in defence and that is the type of guy we want if Edwards goes down or starts playing rep football in the middle of the year.

Laurie definitely shaping up to be the backup half and possibly fighting for a utility spot with Luke. Too small to carry them both obviously.

Cheap 7 we should re-look at England again. Potentially Brodie Croft if he would take a low offer or maybe take another stab at Jock Madden.

We've done it two years running with Sean O'Sullivan and now Jack Cogger. Its a 1-2 year path that could land another player a starting position at another club.
