This rumour was just one started on some South's forum and has picked up steam. Bunniesman heard it on Triple M this morning, where MG said it was absolute BS, and thought "Exclusive"

If Souths offer him $350, Penrith would have to pay $350k.

Then Farrell would be on $150k. So out of the $350k saving, Penrith would have to outlay $150k for Farrell, a guy who WONT play first grade...and then only save $200k.

Anyone that believes that will happen is a dope. A 50/50 deal will not be accepted, particularly when a player is accepted in return that will not be required and eat into the cap.

No other club is dumb enough to think a centre is worth that much. If they reckon they can get away with just paying 10% of his contract he is going nowhere. He'll be there clogging their cap for 3 more years.

They can't renogiate his contract to pay him what he is worth. The only way he can get paid what he is worth is if he goes elsewhere. They can make 300k. We'll pay him 350k. Everyone is happy.

Benji and Robbie are on about $900k as neither wanted to leave,and both have good 3rd party deals,plus Benji has his 9 contract,Blair is about $350k under the cap,which was about $200k more than his Storm deal.
So we have about $1.25K under the cap with those 3,we don't require Jenko any way,as we have Lawrence,Ayshford,Reddy and now Beau knows centre.
Souths got Burgess over here for $150k on his first year,as was proven by customs declaration which Sam blew up about when made public,so getting Jenko is a real chance at $350k a year.
