It's 2013. He doesn't have to live in Penrith to play for Penrith.

Yes true but it's roughly an hour and a half to penrith from cronulla (assuming he lives in the heart of cronulla) give early morning traffic adds a bit of time that drive could become very tedious day after day so really he may end up moving closer to penrith if he signs a long term deal

Good for Todd and the Sharks.

Very hard to entice a quality half from another club these days.

Glad he is staying loyal.

Panthers are going to have a lot of cash and no one to spend it on at this rate. Maybe he will have a crack at Tomkins now.

I find it funny that the Foxsports news anchor accidentally said that the panthers wanted carney to join shaun johnston at the club in 2014. Obviously he meant Soward but how can you mistake Johnston for Soward? Lol

Penrith will be fine. They seem to have a good plan and a decent idea of what they're doing.

Their main problem is they freed up a lot of cash and now they have been knocked back by their 2 highest profile targets. They have some good young and talented players but are lacking the polish of a couple of big names at the moment and I don't know who they can sign

Hardly any top names swap clubs these days ( unless forced)

I'm sure the panthers have a back up plan.

I'm sure they do but at this stage getting rid of Gordon, Jennings and Lewis is looking like a mistake to me
