Next year we could have Frizell, Elliott, Keeley Pearce-Paul, and the mighty Dylan Lucas if he takes up the player option, as the edge forward options.

He's 30 years old. Hasn't even played 100 first grade games. Made his debut for Cronulla in 2014. Not sighted in first grade again until Canberra played him in 2017. Back to Cronulla for a couple of years then joined Penrith in 2021.

Clearly he is EXACTLY what we need. An ageing system player from a successful club who will probably be injured within his first handful of games for us.

It's got that Kirk Reynoldson stink about it. Seems like an absolutely hopeless signing. Can't be much worse than Fitz, but like... I hardly see it as a dramatic upgrade to the squad.

Looking down the barrel of another shitful season and throwing up signings like this. It's just pathetic.

I doubt he would have amounted to anything here. Our systems and our coaching sucks. Shit players get better when they leave here. Good players get shitter when they come. It's hard to avoid that fact when it just keeps happening.

Honestly I'm pleased for blokes like Hoskings, Fermor, etc. They escaped our misery.

The Ponga contract obviously doesn't help but the roster is in no man's land as a whole. Drastic changes need to be made and both have put themselves in this position with poor performance.

Just shows how dire it is when the 2 mega underachievers that Yosh referred to are possibly our best local juniors. Both only turn up a handful of times a year & even then aren't anything to get excited about, its just so depressing.
Just had the extreme displeasure of watching the last 20 minutes of NSW Cup, as usual the Knights found a way to lose at the death. To say they were lethargic would be putting it mildly, no enthusiasm, no pride, no hunger, no mongrel, no idea whatsoever. Blow the joint up, top to bottom its a basket case, Gardiner's mob might know how to generate profits but are clueless about actually putting together a competitive rugby league club!

Might be Best's most consistent season so far but "really good" is extremely generous. Getting paid on potential that he's not coming close to living up to.

Gamble, Elliott and Hastings are all quality signings who are high quality without being marquee. If we have to just accept KP is the main man and we can’t have them all over the park, then the three aforementioned players is the bare minimum standard first grader we need to build this squad into. Sorensen is another one thereabouts. Whether we get him is another thing.
Doesn’t mean we just stop trying to sign marquee talent. But we can remove these so called rep level players who only play at that level when representing.
