Lichaa is on about $660k a year. He left us for a 3 year 2 mil deal, not sure how much is TPA but that was the offer he took.
It is a bad predicament you guys are in, was like us in 2009, 2010, we couldnt get anyone.
Not even a rookie centre named Jamal Idris, he took a lesser deal to go to the Titans.

My opinion is to trust Mooney, he knows what he is doing. He can build a side.

Apparently Walkers South's deal next season is 260K hence the panic after they gave Gags 750K. Walker turned down Brisbane's 600K a season x 3 yrs offer to stay at Souths. Lol. Article seems to hint he was happy with the $$$ Souths gave him at the time but now has a new manager.

He did have a few issues before making his debut. But since then he's proven to be very, very important to that side.

Not sure how long the new manager has been around but it would seem Souths began to feel very comfortable negotiating with the old manager and got themselves an absolute bargain this season and next seeing his off field dramas have ceased. Hmmm.

Walker would be amazing, but I feel like Souths will be able to move on some plodders to upgrade his contract if they have to.

Walker would be a gun 6 for us. Great player. But he isn't the dominant half we are after.

If we got him we would probably be in a position where we recruit the dominant half we need to complement him and oust Lamb, or we back Lamb to be that guy and don't look to sign a big-name half.

As Fred said above...the main advantage we may have is that we can offer Souths Gagai right now for a player swap if they decide they won't be able to keep him next year.
