Judging by the aptitude that most players display, I would say that 99% of it is manager driven. With negotiations, players would generally heed the advice of their managers I would imagine, particularly at younger ages. If I believed that player managers acted morally and solely on behalf of their clients interests then I'd probably even say that's more a good thing than bad - especially from the players point of view. If I were Herman, I'd be pretty pissed at my manager right now - especially if he had told him he ultimately wanted to stay at the Broncos.Well it would seem Josh Massoud was closer to the mark than we all thought. These blokes (Herman and his manager) have been playing with us the past 3 weeks, seemingly confident they were going to pull an extra 100K out of the kitty up there no doubt.
Look, I rate Herman as I've written before many months ago, but I just can't stand the way he and the manager come across in that article.
The bloke has (reportedly) a 1.4 million dollar deal with us just waiting to have ink applied and they were still fart arsing around up there trying to get a few extra dollars out of Wayne?
If he comes, he'd want to stand up and earn that coin.
Apparently James Roberts' manager is after a big pay day as well. Says he can get 600K plus elsewhere. Brisbane sure have a lot of blokes on big dollars..
At first I was thinking "geez do t be excited about coming" but you are right about the managers driving this course of action. I guess not all players are thrilled about leaving their preferred club, but if he does end up signing here I hope he is professional enough to put in each week and hopefully have a squad worthy of a much better year then last couple years.Judging by the aptitude that most players display, I would say that 99% of it is manager driven. Wayne has pulled the Broncos offer for Ese'ese. Sounds like he may have been holding out to see if Brisbane would offer more.
Direct quotes from his agent:
“The Broncos have pulled the deal,” Mammino said.
“Herman honestly hadn’t made a final decision on his future … but after three weeks of the offer being on the table, it’s no longer an option.
“Herman has no choice now but to leave.
“Herman is in shock with what’s happened. Newcastle are definitely interested, but the Broncos have been good to Herman and we were hoping we might be able to come to a resolution.
“We haven’t agreed to terms as yet with Newcastle, but it looks like that’s where he will end up now.”

Pretty sure the moment he starts with Daffiti and they're taking hit up after each other you will be cheeringPlay with fire, be willing to get burnt merkin. This is serious bullshit towards us to carry on like this publicly.
Not a fan of the above and will find it harder to cheer for him now.

I assume his manager thought he could get a bigger deal out of a Brisbane. Historically speaking it hasn't been a bad move to play us off a richer club. Turns out he was wrong, and now Wayne and the Broncos have spat the dummy and pulled the offer. Fair play to them, wish we were in a position where we could afford make such examples of talented players. When we are the highest bidder and they work on commission why would his manager steer him away from us?
Give them a minute to react, but yeah will be interesting to see if they stick their noise in.More importantly, where is the outrage from his manager and rlpa given Wayne has dropped him and he looks done this year at the Broncs. Tapine anyone?

It's after June 30- he or his manager can't exactly push for an early release.
Can if Wayno has openly told him he goes back to reggies for signing with another team.
