Youre thinking of Joe Offahengaue

No chance Blair comes here IMO. I think he would have other ostensibly more attractive options and he wouldn't want to go to a "low" team again after his Tigers experience.
We should be throwing 650k a year at Tavita Pangai.
I have no problem with Pangai Junior as a primary target but I'm not sure when the NRL window allows us to negotiate a player contracted to the end of 2018...is it after the end of this season?
My ideal scenario would probably be Graham (subject to fitness) for a 12 month contract and an additional year clause in our favour and then Pangai Jnr on a long term deal.
With the growth and development our front row playing stocks have achieved this year (Safiti's and King in particular, plus EseEse coming on next year), I'm not sure that we need more than 12 months out of a seasoned campaigner for us to be set relatively long term with a quality pack, particularly if you added Pangai Jnr to that roster in another 12 months time.
November 1st 2017 I believe is the date you can start talking to 2018 off-contract guys.
Pangai sounds a bit fanciful to me. Broncos are losing props all over the place and I imagine they are lining up a big fat contract for him. In saying that he is a Newie junior...
Agree that he is unlikely to be without a lot of big $$$ offers....but
1) we have the capacity to compete on $$$ (not TPAs) at the moment,
2) I want the Broncos to be paying top dollar, if not overs, for them to keep players of his quality and
3) to make it clear that the aura of playing with Bennett supposedly for unders is the myth that he has become
Agree on that but will we have more money than other clubs for 2019? Seems to me like the Broncos are letting go Blair, Thaiday etc to make room and we will not be much under the cap next year if at all assuming we get the targets we are after.
Alls well at Broncos with props or so it SIMS,Agree on that but will we have more money than other clubs for 2019? Seems to me like the Broncos are letting go Blair, Thaiday etc to make room and we will not be much under the cap next year if at all assuming we get the targets we are after.
All work and no play makes Spot On a dull boy
Give and take JM. We must have balance and equity in the forum. Can't have it one way for one person and a different way for others. Or is that how you'd like it?
If so, I'm more than happy to play. Will put a bit of colour in the forum. Lol.
.... to use your words JM, "No offence but that is utter bullshit."
I've been very polite and haven't thrown dirt unlike you.
I gave a piece of advice to a forumite about posting an opinion more than once. That should not rile you.
Brownie apparently said 20% of cap still free for next year in a radio interview, no source on that though.
OK, so it is the medal.
I think that is a general feeling, agreedBlair is a tough one- he is exactly the type of player that the club needs, except for one fact- it's Blair. Not sure how I'd feel about him playing for the club.
Carry on here. Hell, let's escalate things. I'll help you both out... choose your weapons wisely, lads.Happy to PM with you or carry on in here.
