Hodko on 800K should be the part turning everyone's stomach.
Look forward not back ;-)

What has he brought their middle? I can't cop throwing big bucks at a prop that struggles to crack 80 metres a game.
Look forward not back ;-)
Its not running metres. We have that pretty much covered now with our other props. He wacks blokes and brings starch in the middle. I do believe he is the current NZ captain. He would bring a wealth of experience for our young blokes. But I would not be prepared to offer huge money. Decent coin yes but not Haganesque stupid money.
That's what the club are doing if they use some of this years cap space isnt it. You cant move forward until you deal with the past JM as we have just read above :-
No offence but I reckon that is all bullshit.
We went cold on Graham but throwing big bucks at Blair? Please...
Lol. Are you doubting Brown and Mooney now JM. Blair brings what we want more of from our props in the middle.
Lol. No offence taken JM. People were laughing when I was screaming for us to chase EseEse.
Really????? Then why was it???? Lol. Shock horror!!!!
Well we arent all perfect are we JM. I hope it wasnt too offensive for some to have to read a few times. Many didn't even know who he was which suggested many don't watch a lot of footy which is fine. Some obviously don't see what Blair could bring here either JM. If you didn't see what Ese ese's game was like then you're unlikely to know what Blair's game has been like in Brissy because you're not watching. Luckily our coach knows.
I was same, didn't know we could do.I didn't think we could do what we are doing with hokkos contract.
If that's the case let's use the $1.4mil left in our cap this year to pay everyone out so we have more for next year.
Sad to read we have lost Gibbs, who I knew about, but McIntyre is a shock, a very good player. Both hard and tough can play u/20 in 2018. Let's hope this is the last player loss we see from a very good squad of u/20's.Recruitment news from Newcastle Sunday
- Adam Blair is now the '#1 recruitment target' and we're poised to make him a big money offer. Knights have contacted his manager but no official talks have taken place yet. Warriors & Dragons also interested.
- James Graham is back on the Knights radar with the Bulldogs fire sale set to heat up. Knights interest in Graham is not as strong as earlier in the season though, with more concern over his longevity in the game.
- Slade Griffin will be in town on Tuesday to meet with Knights officials as the search for a backup 9 continues. Michael Lichaa & Mitch Rein have already met with the club.
- Knights still have about $1.4m left in the cap for this season and are considering pre-paying Trent Hodkinson a big chunk of the $800k he is owed for next season. This would free up space for next year and also make Hodkinson more attractive for Super League clubs. He's highly regarded at the club though, and won't be forced out. If he wants to finish his career in England the Knights won't stand in his way, nor will they try to move him if he wants to stay.
- Sione Mata'utia, Daniel Saifiti, Jacob Saifiti, Lachlan Fitzgibbon & Sam Stone all still have a year to run on their current deals but have all been offered extensions.
- Heath Gibbs & Sam McIntyre from under 20's have both signed 3-year full time deals with the Tigers.
- Dane Gagai's younger brother Jacob has been playing well in local league and could earn a contract next year. Roosters are also looking at him.
We only offered McIntyre a 1 year extension in our 20's squad, Tigers offered 3 years in the top squad. Probably the same story with Gibbs so can't blame either of them for following the quickest path to first grade.Sad to read we have lost Gibbs, who I knew about, but McIntyre is a shock, a very good player. Both hard and tough can play u/20 in 2018. Let's hope this is the last player loss we see from a very good squad of u/20's.
