Rumoured Targets 3

Both current centres could be gone if Pete not signed, no talk of replacements other than Mogo, l am thinking that with strength in our backrow and no obvious centre replacement in lower grades that it might very well be Sione to centre. Know lots don't like it but what is the alternative especially if no centre signing.
Ross can handle centre.
With the amount of metres he has been making I reckon we need him in closer to the middle.
Left wing is a concern. We have players that can do it but most seem to favour the right. I reckon we can do it.
Not sure on backup for centre bit I figure that's where Sione fits in. At a stretch Elliot given that we'll have more bulk with Moga.

I'm none too worried if we don't keep Pete. I like some parts of his game but not others. Chanel - I don't like much about his game at all.

I really hope we don't sign Blair. Can't stand his type of player.
A winner?!?

I do actually agree with you. He's a dick of a player, but I'll admit the guy has big plays in him at big times, a lot of Broncos players do, it's why I dislike them, it's also why they are third on table.Team could do with a hard nosed player who can cause a bit of ruckus against the opposition. Good combo with twins King, Esse and another experienced prop.

No not a winner. If anything he's the type of player that performs when everything is peachy and his side is going well but he disappears the moment things get tough. He's the absolute last type of player we want around a bunch of young players who always try their absolute backsides off despite it all being against them. They deserve a better leader than f**king Blair (although maybe their attitude will rub off on him so who knows).

He's doing well now but like you said the Broncos are 3rd/going well. Look at his attitude at a side that wasn't (the Tigers) and you see the other part of him - and we're still much closer to Tigers territory than Broncos at the current time despite our slow but ongoing improvement.

If we want a fake tough guy we should just get one of the Sims back.

Exactly - they've worked so hard to get rid of that type of player. I reckon we'd only actually table an offer if Brown and Mooney sat down with him for a good chat and made it 100% clear what attitude is and isn't accepted here and Blair was convincing enough that he'd bring the right attitude. I doubt he'd even want to come here to be honest.

No chance Blair comes here IMO. I think he would have other ostensibly more attractive options and he wouldn't want to go to a "low" team again after his Tigers experience.

We should be throwing 650k a year at Tavita Pangai.

Western Force now look to be gone, wonder if this will open up the door for us to pursue Rona. Although he's just been named in the Wallabies squad, so think he'll be happy to stick with union.

Graham seems like the best option. Experienced, leader and reliable. Blair might be hit or miss.. 80% chance to be a miss in my opinon.

Be careful, you've now mentioned this number of times. I'm very surprised it has not offended some yet. Only a matter of time that it will if you continue to post TAVITA's name.

You may need to explain who he is and what type of game he would bring for those who may not know.

For the record, I'm all for it. It's a no brainer. He is an incredible player already. Give him what ever he wants.

Pretty sure he's under contract until 2020 or something

I still think Lillyman. Graham's last 2 weeks since injury have been terrible and his body looks f**ked.

I still think Graham has it in him if the Dogs are paying a chunk of his salary.

206 metres and 30 tackles vs New Zealand in the Four Nations last off-season. I know this phrase gets thrown around a lot to try to justify signing poor players but I genuinely believe a change of clubs would help him. He is burnt out at Canterbury.

If up to me my choices would be Graham, subject to fitness, Lillyman, looked OK against us, Grant then Blair fourth not based on ability but type of player.
All would be good for us, only need 1 or 2 of them with what we have and coming up from u/20's.
Would only pay big money for 1 and middle payment the other.

I'd want our prop signing to be a leader more off the field than on it. Someone who can help the youngsters reach their potential and tutor them to be winners. I'd want him to have minimum on the field so that he doesn't take away minutes from the youngsters who are doing quite well at the moment.
