Are the Morris boys on $700k between them or $700k each? I'd take Josh if we could get him relatively cheap. Reckon they'll be going to England if they leave though.

700 a piece, i'd say look to get them at 430 each and James at 750, we have the cap room, more so if we front load Hodko and send him on his merry way.

Adam Blair's manager is meeting with the club tomorrow according to Pete Badel. This is very gossip magazine-y but someone in the Knights group on facebook who claims to be friends with the Blair family says he's definitely coming to Newcastle and has posted screenshots of Blair's wife asking about house prices and schools in the area.

I wouldn't be against one of the Morris boys. They confuse me though, so obviously I'd like the best one. I'd just want one though, keep Moga in the centres as I think he has a lot of upside.

Browny said he wants another back so one of the Morris boys would seem like an obvious choice.

500 is top dollar for Graham for mine.

I hope we play hardball with the dogs - not many clubs have room. We should be taking our pick, not taking their scraps. If we hold our nerve we can.

Anyone hear Des blame the NRL for their problem? Apparently not locking in the cap sooner means they can spend what they want.

But also dumb backended deals. Totally the NRL's fault...

If the twins are being pushed out, no wonder they have been down on form, bring one in and hopefully bounce back without the poor backroom attitude.

Bulldogs are going to have a real problem offloading Graham, Eastwood, Mbye & the Morris boys with their bloated salaries. Even if they find new clubs for them they'll definitely have to pick up a good chunk of the bill. I reckon they may have to move on Jackson or Klemmer. If I was in charge I'd be going after Blair from Brisbane and then going as hard as possible for Klemmer. No one could match the $ we could give him.

11. S. Mata'utia

I'd push for Klemmer as well, but surely that is option Z for the Dogs, it's basically the reason they signed Woods.... But here's a smokie, if they can't off load and have to give up one of Foran or Woods, what would people think about pushing after Foran?

I'd be keen to take Brett Morris on a 2 year deal, not on overs though. If he's being paid $700k next year by the dogs I'd expect them to pay at least half, then he could be on $350k max in the second year.

I wouldn't be interested in Josh Morris at all. Granted he's a better defender than Gagai but he's always been massively overrated imo. He's a decent tackler but he's lost his pace and he's never had a lot of skill. Pretty much a bog standard first grader imo.

To be honest there aren't many dogs players I'd want anyway. Klemmer is top of the list but I doubt they'll let him go, Jackson would be good as well but outside of those two I can't thing of many others who I'd want us to get.

Thank you one and all, beautiful dream, we want half the dogs who are going no better than us, but we want it all within our salary cap and could we please have that nice man from the Broncos, Mr Blair.
