Has most of us stumped.

A professional football team signing a cheap player from a good system who can play two different positions, and would be the first back-up option should either the one specialist hooker or one decent utility player get a long term injury or suspension. A player looking for more first grade opportunities at a club on the rise offering no promises other than a fair crack at being in the top 21 every week and see what happens from there.

Yeah, I'm totally stumped.

Lol I've never understood why everyone has to be so confrontational in here.

At this stage most of the team is picking itself. The acquisition of Griffin has thrown a spanner in the works because surely you can't have Buhrer, Levi and Griffin all in the same side. Especially if Sione remains in the backrow which seems likely.

8.Daifiti
9.Levi
10.Herman
11.Sione/Fitz
12.Guerra
13.Barnett

14.Buhrer
15.Griffin
16.Sione/Fitz
17.Jaifiti

That's assuming we don't sign anymore props (which the club has made clear is highly unlikely).

The signing makes sense from a depth perspective but assuming everyone is fit rd 1 me thinks one of Buhrer, Levi or Griffin will miss out.

Did we sign Lillyman??

He'll be in the 17 won't he?

Must say, if we sign a few more players there is going to be incredible competition for spots in the pack and a lot of options for Brown.

I can't see Sione getting a gig tbh.

Hasn't been confirmed, but he'd get the no. 10 jersey for mine if we do manage to snare him.

Same, I'd have him as the first one that misses out. But he's our captain so probably won't.

Form and injuries will see that everyone plays a fair few games though.

Good position to be in, will make for a killer pre season. As we know, brown is known for giving a jersey to guys who put in during pre season.

Add in the English forward we are getting and heinington, plus another centre. The fight for positions will be huge

Sione will definitely have a spot in the 17. The right centre position is vacant so he'll have slide in there you'd think.

Hopefully not.

How do we rate recruitment at this point?

I'm pretty pleased that the squad will improve so much, but also disappointed they've missed out on the true marquees so far.

It's the difference between legit competing for the top eight straight away in 2018, and having to wait another year for the kids to gain consistently.

Didn't word that very well. Hope we miss out on Maloney too.

Looks like panthers and sharks are going to swap him and moylan. Good.

Penrith will dominate next year if Maloney ends up there. Cleary, Wallace and Maloney for NSW would be a strong combination.

That Penrith pack needs to show a hell of a lot more than they did this year Burwood. Tamou is a huge waste of cap space imo. 2 decent games a year from him doesn't cut it. Cartwright will not or can not tackle. Merrin needs to lose a shitload of weight. Wallace can't keep putting his body through the wringer as he did this year. Then there's the coach who I dont rate.

If they fail to fire again next season I think the coach goes and their cap will be in an absolute mess.

Pretty much where I'm at with it. Happy we'll improve, disappointed that we missed out on a genuine marquee.

We will be in a good position to sign a marquee or 2 next season. Our side is a hell of a lot stronger next season and will be more of an attractive option, especially if we are competing for a top 8 spot:

Happy with the players recruited, all very good players from the right culture.
Think we might have gone a bit over with forwards especially if we end up getting any or all of Pom, Heighinton and Lillyman and a bit short on backs, especially centre, even if Sione plays there and a half back. Long term injuries in those two positions worry me.

Is all of 2017 squad signed or been told to move on, believe some including Gagan, Elliott and possibly others might still be hanging in for an offer.

RCG is a freaking star and Yeo is awesome too. The pieces are there.
