Didn't say props said forwards and assuming we have a Pom coming and heighinton so should be looking for backs. We seem to be so caught up with every forward in the comp and haven't looked at backs/centres or at least we aren't talking about any.

There aren’t any centres on the market. As I said before, in an interview today brown said he wants another back but we need some luck to get one, meaning that a club will have to move a back on for us to get one.

I don't think we've forgotton about backs - Ponga, Moga, Watson, SKD..... but I'd rather a stacked roster of forwards in all positions before a stacked backline.

With luck Brown will get another decent back.

I am very happy with recruitment thus far. We clearly needed to focus on fwds and this is what they have done.

Exciting but we need to be patient. Top 10 next year is a stretch target but I think realistic if we get some luck with injuries...

In an interview today brown said that our recruitment is still not over and with a little bit of luck wants to sign someone for our backline.

He also pretty much confirmed that Watson will play 5/8, Brock lamb will play half, ponga will play fullback and griffin will work in combination with Levi.

He said that this pre season will be a step up from the last and the expectation on our players will be much higher this pre season.

Surely Hodko is gone/retired then. He'll be the most expensive Reggie in nswcup otherwise

Well you didn't, you said "his position" which is prop. A position we are certainly not well stocked

Today's telegraph saying Moylan staying at Penrith, hinting Cronk might go to Roosters, Pearce? And nothing certain about Malloney.
I assume from that if Cronk retires all will most likely remain as is.

Going into a season with a very young halves combination who's never played together is already risky- we lose Hodko and we have just Cogger to back them up.

Wrong. If Hodkinson goes we need a first grade standard back up half because we have no idea how Lamb and Watson will go as a combination yet and they are both so young. Cogger hasn't shown to be firstgrade ready yet as a back up either.

When was the last time a completely rookie spine did well in the NRL. That's what we'll have next year not just in the halves but fullback and hooker too with Ponga and Levi. Huge risk there. Young halves combinations often end in disaster, we definatley need a spine player with a bit of experience at the club. Best case scenario- Lamb and Watson go so good that Hodkinson plays every match in Reserve Grade. He most likely will spend most of the season there anyway, but we need the insurance policy if things go wrong.

I'm all in favour moving Hodkinson on, as many of you will point out he's going to become the most expensive reserve grader of all time, but if he leaves we need someone with a bit of exeperience to replace him. What are the options? And yes I know that we're probably still interested in Maloney.

Levi is young but he's hardly a rookie given he's had 3 years in 1st grade and now looks to be the starting Kiwi hooker

This is pie in the sky stuff but there's rumours floating around about the Chooks wanting Cronk. If they get him they'd have to let Pearce go. We'd probably be the only club in Australia able to afford him. Would you sign him?

He's useless at Origin level and in the big games but is pretty bloody good week to week. We have little experience in our halves outside of Hodkinson who has proven that he isn't up to First Grade. It's very unlikely but if Cronk does decide to play on it certainly could be an option.
